A month later
Monday,6:08am
It was their first day of school. Mikasa was all prepared. She brought all of her school stationary plus her phone and the diary.
On the other hand,Levi was already in the kitchen with Kenny.
"Oi Levi! Where's Mikasa?"
"Tch. She's gonna get down in a minute." Levi took a sip of his tea.
There was silence between them. Levi barely waited for Mikasa to come down.
Tch. What took so long with that brat?
Just then they both heard footsteps that's coming down from the living room. Then Mikasa bursts in.
"Morning! Sorry I took that long."
Mikasa sat across Levi and started eating. Kenny was already done. He watched the two of them. He then turn to Levi. Levi noticed it that Kenny was staring at him. He sighed and placed the fork down.
"Don't you fucking stare at me like that it's scary!"
"Levi! Watch your mouth!" he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Levi. It's the first day of school. You must gave a tour for Mikasa. And helped her get along with your fr-"
"she already did. We'll,some of them." Levi interrupted him. Kenny turned his head to Mikasa. "You did? That's good to hear."
Mikasa nodded shyly and continued eating.

Kenny drove Mikasa and Levi to school. They both soon arrived and hop out of the car. Mikasa wave goodbye to Kenny as she dragged Levi excitedly. She couldn't get enough too see her new school.
Levi gave her a tour around. Levi is one of the popular students in school. He won the 2nd place in Maths Competition last year and he is the now the captain of the basketball team. So mostly when he's around,people knew him well. And mostly all of the girls in school had a crush on him even though he can be grumpy sometimes.
People were whispering as they both walked down the hall. Some says, "is that Levi's new girlfriend?" And some says, "we all knew Ashley died months ago,This could be his new girlfriend." This spreads everywhere. Levi heard it but he just ignored them. He hated this.
Mikasa couldn't helped at people staring at her. She felt uncomfortable. She started to walked faster but Levi pulled her bagpack.
"H-hey!"
"Walk like a lady brat. Just ignore them." He said.
Mikasa crossed her arms and let out a heavy sighed.
"C-can we just go somewhere that is perfectly not crowded? I can't stand these people who are staring at me."
"Tch. We still have classes brat. I told you to just ignore them. People are staring at you because your new here. Mostly people had experience that when they're a newbie."
Levi stopped his tracks and checked something in his bag.
"What are you looking for?" Mikasa asked.
"The schedule paper. Ah! Here it is! A-and our first subject is... English."
//During class\\
Mikasa and Levi sat beside each other. While at the back was Erwin and Hanji. They were all waiting for their English teacher. Just then,someone appeared on Mikasa's side.
"Hey! I'm Eren. And yours?"
"M-mikasa..."
"That's a beautiful name. Nice to meet you!" Eren said,outstretching his hand. Mikasa smiled and acceptedly shook it.
"And oh! This is Armin and beside him is, Jean. the-horseface."
Armin greeted Mikasa while Jean glared at Eren with deadly eyes.
"I just nickname it by myself." Eren smirked to make Jean more pissed. Both Hanji and Erwin bursts out laughing.
"Hey! You dipshit! I'm not a horse,you gay!" Jean grabbed Eren's collar and both of them started to argue. Levi knew this was going. He gave a heavy sighed and stood up,stopping both Eren and Jean. "Calm down you brats. Don't be a baby about it."
"W-wha! But Eren started it!"
"Ha! But it's true! Say Hanji,doesn't he look like a horse?"
Hanji stopped laughing. "You knew my answer Eren!"
Mikasa watched them and giggled. Levi sat down back beside her. "I see your enjoying them huh? But trust me,one day you might find them stupid."
Mikasa turned to Levi. "Pft. Levi. stupid people are more fun to hangout with."
//During lunch break\\
Levi's squad were gathered in one big table. Just then, they all heard the mega phone.
"Mikasa Ackerman. Please report in the Principals office." Says the speaker. They all turned their heads to Mikasa,including Levi. Mikasa was horrified.
Have I done something wrong? Why was I called by the principal? Today is my first day and yet, I've been sent to a principal. Great. She thought and said goodbye to them. Before Mikasa could disappear in the room,Levi went along with her. Mikasa smiled and thanked his supportively friend.
Mikasa knocked on the door and waited for the Principal's response. Once they heard her,she slowly turned the door knob and entered the wide room,followed by Levi. The Principal assist Mikasa to sit down across her and she did. The Principal closed her laptop and started talking. "Ms. Ackerman." She paused and fixed her glasses. "Do you have any idea why your here?"
Mikasa shakes her head. "Not a single word Maam. What's going on?" She asked curiously.
"I don't know on how to tell you this but apparently, the nurse from France just called a while ago and it seems that there's some serious problem going on between your parents." Again,she gave a paused. Mikasa's eyes went wide and told the Principal to keep going.
"We'll. they said that your parents were in a car accident by an overspeeding car without being noticed."
Mikasa couldn't believe what she just heard. Levi too didn't made a move. Mikasa looks down and grips her hand. Levi noticed and he sat down beside her,taking her hand. He noticed that she started to cry. The Principal sighed and assist herself to excuse to give them some time. Mikasa cried on Levi's chest. Levi's hand caress at her back while the other one who was busy stroking her hair.
"Shhh. It's ok. I'm here." Levi said who was still stroking her hair.
"W-wh...y. I-i.... I've n-never expected this to h-happen." Mikasa sob.
"I know. And I'm sorry. L-lets just get back to the cafeteria."
"N-no.... I-I need some time a-alone. p-please excuse me." Mikasa wiped away her tears and slowly stood up. Levi helped her up and the Principal walk in right after. The Principal gave her condolences to Mikasa about her parents. She just nodded and they walk out of the room.
It was her first day of school. She was expecting herself to enjoy but yet,the result was wrong. Its the worst day of her life.
They both walk back quietly. Non of them made a talk at first. Their hands intertwined with each other. Levi cleared his troat.
"M-mikasa. I-if you wa--"
"No..." She interrupted. "Just please leave me alone. I mean. I-I'm not trying to be rude. Just please leave me alone. I-I'll go ahead." She gave a weak smile and took away her hand that was intertwined with his.
