5 - I AM THE QUEEN

I found her in the shower, crying hysterically, I knew this would be hard on her, she has been thrown until our world. With abilities that no one will can truly understand. Stripping off my clothes and joining her in the shower, was all I could think to do.

"You're not alone in this, you will never be alone again."

She cried and cried, there was no consoling her, I just bathed her and laid her down in silence. It was one of those moments no words needed to be said, I would wait for her to accept what had to be done. It won't be the last time she has to take a life, but I know the first time is always the hardest.

I worked on my laptop as she slept, she just needed time, but I also knew she needed me close.

A couple hours later...

"Thank you, Brian."

"No worries my love, I know what you need."

"What is on our agenda for the rest of the day."

"Well the Chase, Monroe, Jasper and Davison families will be here soon as requested for an early dinner, then we will have the ceremony later this evening in the clearing to receive you as Queen. That's all that is on our plate today.

"There is something else Brian, and I need you to prepare your heart and mind for it, because it will happen so quickly, I need you to accept it."

"Royal, should I be concerned, I promise to go the ends of the earth for you, there is nothing that will stop me from being by your side no matter what may come."

"It's not me Brian, just remember the words I have spoken."

"As you wish my love, I will consider what you have said, now you must begin to get dressed, dinner will be served within the hour in the great hall."

Royal sent her thoughts to Brian about the families and their roles within the territory. He responded in kind with some ideas of his own, and the plan was set. The beginning of their rule would start today and would change the face of the world.

Royal, Brian and Talia entered the great hall met with the feeling of love and family. All the families interacting and getting to know one another. Before they could get to their seats she heard the chair fall and she watched things unfold.
"MATE, MATE, I have so longed for you," he said. "I will never let you go, you are mines and I am yours, you will come home with me tonight, I have waited so long for you."

Royal could see the surprise on everyone's face, the possessive nature of this wolf is exactly what is needed, but she also knew that only she could calm down this situation. The room went silent waiting with bated breath to see how things would unfold.

"Tell them of this union, explain to them what is to come, for these families will share the truth with the masses." I heard Dutchess clearly in my mind, confirming what I knew I had to do.   "Edmund Chase, come and sit next to Talia and take your rightful place by her side as the first mate of the royal children." 

"Yes Queen, I have so longed to meet you, my dreams have come true."

Brian produced a tight smile, he knew the moment would come but that was still his daughter and the thought of her leaving him was unsettling.

"Let me begin by saying that my powers are limitless, and the powers of the royal family and bloodline will also be limitless, it is a great honor and responsibility. The mates of the royal family will come from three of the four families, the remaining family has a special responsibility that will be revealed in time. Edmund left the pack at 18 for college, being 7 years the senior of Talia, he never imagined that his mate was a child back then. Now is the proper time to bring his knowledge and skills as a doctor back home and to meet his mate. Edmund we welcome you home with the responsibility of pack doctor to run our medical facility and staff. The union of you and Talia will be blessed."

As the purposes of the Chase family are now being revealed, I can share more on this union. The Chase and Allister families represent a long rich history of love and respect. Your role in the prophecy is vastly important, as is each of the families gathered here tonight. The love, loyalty and commitment to peace and unity is what this family brings to the Allister family. Once all is revealed it will be clear. Let us spend this time getting to know one another and planning for what our kingdom will become. This will be a safe haven for all creatures to live and co-exist, it is our destiny.

Royal and Brian enjoyed the life and laughter that the families brought to their home. And although Brian was not ready to let Talia go, by the end of the evening it was clear that Edmund was the perfect mate for her. He could see the love and passion in his eyes for Talia, and he knew that his daughter would be taken care of for all of eternity. He knew the look and feeling that Edmund had because it was exactly what he felt for Royal.

As he looked across the room in search of his mate, he spotted her talking and laughing with Bryson Monroe, his captain, the best warrior and man he knew, but his jealousy was beginning to overtake him as Royal laughed and Bryson touched her...Brian stood to make his presence felt, but before he could reach them he felt a cool wind across his face and their stood his beautiful mate and her mesmerizing smile.

"Do you really think that Bryson Monroe can steal me away from you Mr. Allister?" Royal said with a slight chuckle.

"I could feel your anger all the way across the room, Brian, don't forget are emotions are connected."

Knowing there was no reason or justification for it, Brian just smiled and nestled his nose on his mates neck, her scent calmed him, he needed her by his side, he had no real control when it came to her.

"We both will have to learn to control our emotions for one another, it is something that will take time, but together we will be ok."

The night began to wind down and Royal and Rosalie had become fast friends and now partners in crime to plan another wedding for their children. Talia would live with Edmund until the expansion house was built. Edmund wanted his mate all to himself, and living with her parents was not an option he thought necessary.

With nerves and some insecurity Talia began to pack some of her things to meet Edmund in the foyer so they could go to his home, now her home, she dreamed of this day, but now that it's here, is she ready???
She never had the talk with her mother or any other woman about what to do or what to expect and now here she was, expected to know how to love her mate. Their bond was so strong she felt empty when she left him, how is she supposed to manage all these emotions, be a good mate, and fulfill her destiny for her family.

Tears began to fall as she became overwhelmed with all that was before her.

"Don't cry my dear, your mother is here for you in every way. Let's go to the garden to have a talk that is long overdue."

With a smile on her face and warmth in her heart, Talia nodded and followed her mother to the garden. She finally had everything her heart ever desired.
