Queen for Us All

2 - The Prophecy

            Everything sounded like I was underwater, I could hear things happening around me, but everything was muffled, so I just closed my eyes and let the moment overtake me.

"Royal, my dear it is time."

I could hear the voice loud and clear and when I opened my eyes I knew I was dreaming. I was dressed in purple near a lake, I could see my reflection, I had purple hair and purple eyes. Yeah, I am dreaming.

"My dear you are certainly not dreaming."

Turning quickly, I saw the most beautiful woman I had every seen, she looked like an angel and she illuminated light all around her.

"I am the Moon Goddess dear, but you may call me "Mom".

"Excuse me, my mom died giving birth to me, I don't know who you are."

"It was by my design, Royal, you are the Purple Wolf, The Queen of our world, and by all accounts, my daughter. The prophecy speaks of a woman that will come. She will be an adult with no knowledge of her wolf or her powers. She will persevere in the human world. The father of your children was a man created by the elders, you and your offspring needed to be direct descendants of the elders. That drunken night, waking up alone not really knowing what happened was also by design. All the creatures of our world will submit: wizards, witches, vampires, fairies, and on and on. She will be the catalyst for unity and her legacy will live for all eternity."

"That sounds nice Ms. Moon Goddess lady, but I can't be all that, I am just a single woman trying to live her best life in Texas."

"My dear Royal, that is also by my design, because you have lived this life as a human, you are the perfect Queen to lead, I didn't make this decision on my own, the Elders of all the creatures collectively decided it was time for our worlds to live in harmony. The wolf was chosen because our species can best survive in our world and the human world thus creating peace for all. Royal your heart is pure, and you will not only appreciate the gifts the Elders have given you, you will also understand the great responsibility that was been given to you. If you do not embrace this task, our world will fall."

"Well that doesn't give me much choice does it," Royal said rolling her eyes.

"This task is not yours alone, Brian, Talia's father will be your King, together you will rule, once mated his black wolf will have purple paws the sign that he is forever connected to the Purple Wolf, that will be the mark of male wolves in your bloodline, in the future your son and daughter will come to you and cement their places as Purple wolves along with Talia. All will be revealed in time; the Elders will come and teach you our history and the extent of your powers. Royal, your power will surpass us all, even the Elders will submit to you, again by our design."

"We did not forget the desires of your heart, the family and the man that you always hope for. Brian is that man, the bond between you two will be unbreakable, of course it will be tested but it will never break. Both of you have pure hearts and live to serve others, that is why you have been chosen for one another. Although you are chosen for one another your love and respect for one another will grow just like any other couple, open up to him and he will open up to you. Give you heart and love to him and he will return the same and fulfill every desire of your heart, for he is destined for you and you for him."

I felt the tears fall, this woman was telling me the things I always wanted, my mind was flooded with information of all the creatures that live in this world and I knew all that she said was true and I also knew that nothing in my life would every be the same again. My destiny had been revealed to me and it was above and beyond my wildest dreams.

"Royal, it is now time to return to the world, you have a lot to learn and a lot to do."

With a quick nod of the head I felt myself rushing back to my body like a gush of air was just pumped through me and my eyes opened quickly, I looked around as my eyes gained there focus and saw that it was the middle of night. I looked to my right to see Talia sleep, and I looked to my left to see a man also sleep. Immediately I knew that was Brian. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen. He was dark chocolate with muscles everywhere, I could tell he was tall, just something to behold. I couldn't stop staring, he was gorgeous, and he was all mine, I would have to thank the Moon Goddess, she surely got this one right.

"He is ours." The voice in my head said.

A nerd by nature, I have read enough werewolf books to know that must be my wolf. She was feisty like me, I like her already.

"Ok he is ours, and who do I have the pleasure of talking to in my head."

"I am Dutchess, and I am not your wolf, you are your own wolf, I am the essence of the Elders that will help guide you, I am wolf, vampire, witch, fairy and wizard. You are unique Royal, when you shift to your wolf, you will still be yourself, I will be there too, together we are one, but your powers exist in your human form and wolf form. If you need me, I can take over but even when I do you will be present and a part of everything."

I just nodded like a crazy person nodding to the "essence" in my head.

"Ok Dutchess, I have to pee, and I don't want to wake anyone, how do I get to the bathroom."

"Just imagine yourself in the bathroom and you will be there, don't forget you have the powers of us all."

She was right, I closed my eyes and when I opened them I was in the bathroom, what I saw in the mirror just confirmed that I wasn't dreaming, I had purple hair and purple eyes.

Dutchess spoke, "Purple is the color of royalty which is who and what you are. Your hair and eyes will always be purple, when you and Brian mark one another his eyes will change to purple. Your daughters Heiress and Talia will also change to purple when they are marked by their mates. And your son Prince's eyes will change to purple when he marks his mate. So will each generation through all of eternity. Royal you are the beginning of a blood line that will continue through the ages to bring peace, joy and unity to us all."

I did what I had to do in the bathroom and focused back on my bed and I was there.
"This is kinda cool," I thought to myself.

"Now sleep Royal, much rest is needed, you will awaken to a very worried mate and a new daughter."
