Chapter 9 - Friends?

(Tawin's Pov)

He arrived and said nothing, he just pretended like anything happened. I think I should do the same, maybe what happen was because he was drunk and confused nothing more and after I told him, he thinks I'm mad at him. I cried a lot before coming to the Uni, I felt played by my own friend but maybe that wasn't the situation. I should talk to him and put everything on its right place.

After class I sent a message to Narin saying I needed to talk to him. Fifteen minutes after he answered and told me to meet me in front of the engineering department. When I arrived there, he was standing alone next to a bench, I walked to him.

-Hey... - I said a little bit reticent.

-Hey, what do you want to talk about? – he looked so cold while talking to me.

-I just want to make everything right, I mean we can't be pretending that anything happened, right? Or is that what you want? – I had to be direct.

-I don't know. I want us to still be friends but after what I did, I don't know if that is possible anymore. – he said looking down.

-Yes, we can. – I said in hope that he would change his mind.

-No, we can't. I hurt your feelings, I made you cry. It wasn't supposed to be like this, I wasn't supposed to feel so confused. You are my fucking friend! – he said with tears in his eyes.

-Calm down! We can resolve this. You are confused right now so, let's give it a little time and be like we used to. Let's go camping with Mali and Nin and be friends like we used to be. - I said trying to calm him down.

-But what if I can't treat you like a friend? – he said worried.

-If you can't or I can't we will see what to do after okay? Don't rush things, okay?

-Okay. Thank you for being like this to me. – he tried to smile as he said it.

During the week we tried to act like nothing ever happen, but it was really hard for both of us. For me because I couldn't stand seeing him laugh and play with his friends, and when I was talking to P'Kantima I noticed that the look in his eyes change to every time he looked at us.

Nin send the plan for the weekend to our chat group. I was the one taking the car, what didn't surprise me much because Narin only owns the motorcycle, Mali doesn't know how to drive, and Nin is afraid of making long trips with her car. In the plan also said that me and Narin are in charge of buying the food for the trip, so I sent him message to see if he was available to go shopping today. I don't know why but he would always have time to do things with me. We agreed to meet at the shopping mall at 3 p.m. that would give me time to go to the dorm and pick up my car.

I arrived at the shopping and Narin was late, I waited for him inside the car and thirty minutes later he arrived, it seemed like we came running.

-Hey, you're okay?

-Yeah, I'm sorry I'm late, it's P'Prayut's fault he wouldn't let leave always talking about the game. – he explained.

-It's okay. Let's go? They said we should buy a lot of things because they are always hungry.

We laugh at what I said and went shopping. During shopping everything was going on as usual. We chose what we would take, we played with each other and laughed at the nonsense that came out of there. But suddenly someone came against me pushing me which made me unbalance and almost fall. However, I felt hands grab me by the waist and they didn't let me fall. It was Narin's hands, he grabbed me preventing me from falling and we looked into each other's eyes.

-Are you okay? – he asked worried.

-Yeah, I'm fine. Thank though, if it wasn't for you, I would've fall. – I said while getting out of that position and breaking the eye contact.

From there till the end of shopping everything seemed a little bit awkward. After that moment soap opera worthy, it looked like we were strangers doing shopping together.

As we were putting the bags inside my car he asked:

-Hum, can you give me a ride back the dorm please? P'Phichai left me here so I don't have how to go back. - He said this scratching his head as if he was embarrassed.

-Yes, I can, there's no problem. – I said smiling.
