Madi's POV

The first show today was interesting.

Fistly, while Katherine and Jack were talking before I Never Planned on No one Like You, Dan fell off the tower.

Then, before Seize the Day, Zachary forgot to put the strike sign on his crutch.

In Act 2, during King of New York, Stephanie fell off the chair and twisted her ankle, meaning I would be Katherine for the later show.

Finally, during Letter From the Refuge, Zachary said Dan instead of Jack!

Despite a few hiccups earlier, we were ready to go for the 2nd show, with me as Katherine.

I was in my dressing room, ready and chilling, when Josh and Ben came in.

"Madi!" Josh whined. "You broke Sky!"

"I broke him?" I asked, shocked. "He's the one who ended things. Not me. If anyone broke someone else, he broke me."

"Yeah, but you aren't acting broken," Josh pouted. "Sky's so upset that he kicked us out for being 'too rambunctious'. We weren't even being that bad! All we were doing was plating a very intense game if Heads Up!"

I chuckled and was about to respond when I got a FaceTime request. It was Emma! I answered it.

"Emma!" I exclaimed.

"Emma?!" Ben yelled, running over to me.

"Hey Madi, hey Benji!" She smiled, waving.

"I'm here too!" Josh whined, walking into the picture.

"Hi Josh," Emma said.

Josh waved like a 2-year-old waves goodbye to a grandparent.

"What's up over in Virginia?" I asked.

"Same old, Same old," she sighed. "What about you?"

"Nothing much ever since what happened with... you know," I trailed off, not wanting to get emotional about Sky right now.

"Attention, everybody! This is your places call! Places! We need our Jack and our Crutchie on the towers, please!" A voice called over the intercom.

"Bye, Emma!" Josh, Ben, and I all exclaimed, simultaneously.

She waved and hung up. The three of us ran to our places, Ben up on the towers by Sky, and me down on the floor with Josh.

That show went MUCH better than the first.

I changed quickly and ran out to the stage door. I signed autographs and took pictures until I got to the end of the line where Jaxon was standing next to a man, a woman, and a little girl, presumably their daughter.

"Jaxon, hey!" I exclaimed l, giving him a quick hug.

"Hey, Madi!" He smiled. "You did so great! Hey, do you maybe wanna... hang out on Friday?"

"I'd like that," I told him.

As well as Ben Cook's voice cracks, Ben Fankhauser's riffs, and Jeremy Jordan's inability to dance----

Jaxon and I's date was wonderful, but we decided we were better off as friends, so that's what we were. I told him about everything, including my situation with Sky. He listened. He didn't talk over me or interrupt me. He just listened.

And that was exactly what I needed.

Sorry, it's kind of junky and rushed. I'm bored, so I'm updating, but we have to write a Christmas story for writing class, and my creative writing brain is dead. Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for all the support and over 500 reads! I love you guys (platonically, of course)

Love,
