It took Sanji a total of four hours to bake and cook everything. Saying he went a little overboard was an understatement. He cooked fifteen different main courses, baked twelve different pastries, and a shit ton of appetizers. "There will just be five of us, not the whole damn town!" Zoro exclaimed in pure shock. "I think I was stress cooking." Sanji stated nonchalantly. "You call that stress cooking?!" Zoro dramatically gestured to all the food. "Oh hush you! Besides, if you are a good boy tonight, I'll get you booze." Sanji's eyes held a mischievous glimmer in them. "You had me at booze, however." Zoro smirked devilishly. "However?" The blond raised a curly eyebrow. "You'll be drinking with me." Sanji's heart dropped to his stomach. He was a total light weight. He could handle two and a half glasses of wine and be mildly drunk. Zoro loved to drink Sake. That would be the end of Sanji. Adding to the list was how Zoro was acting lately. Sanji would be royally fucked if he made the wrong move, literally. "I-I'm good." He silently cursed himself because he stuttered. "Suit yourself." Zoro shrugged and headed upstairs.
The sound of running water filled the background as Sanji contemplated on what to wear. His choices were a black pencil skirt that went with a dark wine red blouse, a lavender dress with lilacs embroidered from the hem of the right corner of the skirt up to the left shoulder, or a cream colored dress with sunflowers on the skirt. "Skirt and blouse." Zoro said from over the blond's shoulder. Sanji jumped and kicked his partner with a yell. "Jesus fucking christ! Don't scare me like that, you dumb bastard!" He yelled and placed a hand over his heart. Zoro was keeled over holding his stomach and coughing. "I told you when I walked in here! I even knocked dumbass!" Zoro growled, and Sanji glared. "Clearly not loud enough!" Zoro couched a little more and Sanji's expression softened. He timidly got closer to his pissed off partner. He then shyly wrapped his arms around the bigger man's waist and rested his head on his chest. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." He quietly said and Zoro wrapped his big arms around the smaller man. "It's alright. I shouldn'tve scared you." Sanji held Zoro tighter and nuzzled his shoulder. This caused the bigger man to chuckle. "Someone's awfully cuddly, miss me that much?" Sanji pouted but didn't respond. "Cmon, let's get you dressed." Sanji nodded and slowly slipped out of his partner's grasp. He felt cold.
After Sanji got dressed, Zoro led him downstairs to the couch. "We still have some time. Want to tell me what's got you acting like this?" He sat down and Sanji sat down right next to him. "I... don't know." Sanji replied and looked away from the tan man. "Well that's a problem, or maybe not." Zoro's fingers slid under the blond's chin and turned his head towards him. Sanji avoided eye contact as much as possible. "Hey, look at me." Zoro ordered, and the blond complied. A beautiful blue eye met an onyx one. "You're beautiful." Zoro whispered, and the blush began to creep upon the blond's cheeks. "You don't mean that." He said and looked away. "But I do. You are more beautiful than any woman I've ever met. Better looking than any guy I've met, too." Zoro said kindly, but Sanji still didn't believe him. "You're lying. I'm nothing special." Sanji felt a familiar sting in the bridge of his nose. He was about to cry. "Why would I lie about this? Why would I lie to you?" Those words pushed Sanji over the edge. Tears welled up and spilled over and flooded down his cheeks. Zoro was taken aback, but he simply moved the blond onto his lap and held him close. He slowly started to rock from side to side.
Sanji's sobs grew louder, and he clutched onto his partner's shirt for dear life. His make up was all runny, but he didn't care. Nor did Zoro care. He gently took out the braid that the blond kept in, and ran his fingers through the soft blond locks. Sanji gasped for air and coughed. He continued to cry until he felt better. Zoro kept quiet and tried his best to soothe the blond. "I'm sorry." Sanji suddenly said when he calmed down. He sniffed here and there, but otherwise was finished crying. "You have nothing to be sorry for." Zoro said in a gentle tone and continued to play with the blond's hair. "I got your shirt all dirty." Sanji mumbled, and Zoro stopped his movements. He pushed the blond back a little and examined the mess. "It's a shirt. I have another." Zoro shrugged and looked at Sanji's face. He was an absolute mess to say the least. Eyeliner and mascara trailed down his cheeks in streams. His eyes and nose were red. His eyes were puffy, and his lip trembled. "Still beautiful. Do you need anything?" Zoro smiled sweetly, and this threatened the blond to start crying again. "Hold me." He said with a sniff. Zoro nodded and brought the blond closer to him. "Why me?" Sanji asked as he nestled closer into the huge chest he was resting against. "I don't know. You are perfect to me. Sure we argue and fight a lot, but that's one of the many things I love about you. You challenge me in a way, not to mention you can cook. I don't know exactly why you, all I know is that it is you." Zoro explained and rubbed small circles at the small of Sanji's back. Sanji remained silent and simply enjoyed the warmth and comfort the greenette provided.
About half an hour had passed since Sanji's breakdown. The two did not move from their spots. Sanji had stopped sniffing and was hiding his face in the crook of Zoro's neck. Zoro still held the blond close and was still rubbing small circles on his back. "I should wash my face and redo my makeup." Sanji finally spoke. "If you want." Was Zoro's reply. Sanji pulled back and nodded. He slipped out of Zoro's grip and adjusted his skirt. "Could you do my hair, please?" He shyly asked. Zoro smiled and nodded. The two headed upstairs into the master bath. Sanji grabbed a few makeup remover wipes and face wash. He removed his messy makeup, and then found a headband. With his hair out of the way, he washed and dried his face. Zoro was leaning against the door frame, enjoying the show. His eyes wandered down to his partner's ass. "Oi! Quit staring like a creep!" Sanji snapped, and Zoro laughed. "Just admiring the view. It's a pretty good view." Zoro defended himself, poorly at that. Sanji rolled his eyes and held out a brush. Zoro smiled and began brushing the blond locks out. Once the hair was brushed until it was silky smooth, Zoro styled it into a high ponytail. He made sure to push the blond's bangs into the ponytail as well. "There. Now we can see both of those beautiful blue eyes and fancy brows." Zoro rested his chin on the blond's shoulder and wrapped his arms around his tiny waist. Sanji hummed and rested his cheek against his partner's head. "Thank you." He said with a sigh. "No problem, curly." Zoro suddenly kissed his partner's cheek and left, leaving a baffled and flustered Sanji alone.
