Please, just listen to me

Every paragraph, every sentence, every word someone says to you, just gets to you. No matter whether they are being nice or not, it's just annoying. You feel lost in how you feel and don't know how to turn that around. You feel as though people are criticising your every move, word and action and that you can never catch a break.

You always snap at people by accident when they say something to you that would offend you, but then you are the wrong one because you are grumpy and have a quick temper.

Nobody seems to understand how you really feel on the inside and nobody understands that you don't want to snap at people and make them feel bad. Nobody gets just what goes on in your mind, everyone sees you for how you have reacted to them, not how you actually are.

You try to be quiet, to avoid offending, and snapping at people, but you just keep talking and laughing along. You feel like you are being too loud, but when you try to be respectful, nobody listens to you and you can't get a word in.

You feel so isolated and that nobody cares and you always feel as though you need to repeat yourself louder and louder every time until someone actually listens to you.

What's the point, who knows anymore? Why do you feel like you can't just shut it for once? The thoughts race and you wonder why you try talking to people anymore.
