JISOO

As soon as the door closed when Haein left, Jennie stared at me, judging me and questioning me. I looked away and pretended not to notice, but she was insistent.

"Go ahead; talk." She ordered irritably. "This is the second time I've come to your apartment and Haein is naked, and you're in a robe."

"Jennie, you got married, and you're going to have a baby, don't you think being jealous of me is outdated?" She pinched me. I put my hand on my leg where she pinched and stared at her in disbelief.

"Don't start trying to change the subject." She said angrily. "The last time you went out with Haein, you ended up getting pregnant, do you want that to happen again?" I denied.

"No. And that's why I'm taking birth control pills." I said, smiling and tilting my head to the side, but Jennie still looked angry. I sighed and adjusted my posture. "It just happens... But don't worry, we know what we're doing."

"Yes, you do..." I could see that she didn't really agree and much less believe what I was saying. "So, do you think YG and FNC will accept to help to get the girl back?"

"What other alternatives do they have? Or is that it, they'll face a huge lawsuit."

"But a child in the middle of this now..." Her voice and expression were already calmer. "Leaking the scandal might be too much for her. I still haven't forgiven that damn Dispatch for leaking my pregnancy, my son hasn't even been born, and he's already been targeted by the media."

"Well, one way or another, Haeji will become a target of the media, but I'll do what I can to keep her away as long as I can."

"Jisoo... Don't get me wrong." She seemed like she didn't want to ask me what she was about to ask. "But isn't she better this way? Away from the media and all the chaos." My eyes filled with tears as I remembered my daughter's sad look at me when she told me about her aunt and why she didn't want to go home. I shook my head and swallowed the bile that formed in my throat.

"She's not happy, Jennie... I don't want her to grow up in a boarding school, I don't want her to see all her classmates go home, to have memories with their parents, while she lives there." Jennie took a deep breath. "I'll do whatever I can to get her back and make her happy."

"So I supported you." I feel calmer. Jennie's support was important to me. "But what about your parents?" I frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"Will you tell them?" I took a deep breath. "If you've decided to get her back, don't you think it's better to tell them?"

"I'll have to tell them eventually, right? But I think it's too early. I'd rather tell them when we're with her and when she feels more comfortable with us."

"You won't even tell them that she's alive" I denied it.

"No, at least not yet... Haein and I need to sort things out first." A simple mention of Haein made Jennie roll her eyes. "Kim Jennie!"

"I can't help it." She said, running her hand over her belly. "Even Tae-hin doesn't like him." I denied it, amused.

"Haein wasn't to blame for what happened, and I pushed him away from me..." Jennie didn't like Haein because she thought he could have done more for me and our daughter. But I knew he couldn't, none of us imagined it, we were deceived, and then I pushed him away, even if he fought, I would avoid him anyway.

"Well..." She took a deep breath. "He's trying now and that's good." I nodded, smiling restrained, but I wanted to hug her. "Anyway, I came here to look at some themes for the baby shower, and to talk a little. Lisa and Rosé are arriving in a few days, by the way."
