HAEIN

"Haeji missed you." That's the first thing Jisoo says to me when she gets in the car.

"Good morning, did you sleep well?" I asked, and by the way she looked at me, she heard the irony in my voice. "I missed her too, but besides talking to the movie director, I knew your friend had arrived." She frowned and looked at me. I started the car and drove off. "So I didn't want to disturb you."

"How did you know?"

"She posted a picture in your building, I recognized the elevator." I say trying not to look like a crazy person for recognizing where Jisoo lived just by looking at the elevator, after all, most elevators are the same.

"Hm..." She murmured. "You could have gone. You saw how much Haeji idolized Lisa." The jealousy in her voice was clear. "I don't know if that's good or bad." I just laughed, not knowing what to say. I never really met Jisoo's friends, after all, our meetings were secret, and I spoke to them only a few times, so a bond wasn't formed. That must explain why Jennie hated me so much.

We arrived at the YG building and Jisoo seemed more confident, she seemed ready to tell everyone there to kiss her feet — and I must confess that I loved that attitude of hers, and I would kiss her feet if she ordered it.

The lawyers were all there, as were Nara and Jaehyeok, so we all went into the meeting room and sat down.

"Miss Seo Hye-jin signed the custody agreement," said one of the lawyers. "So we don't see the need for a lawsuit."

"There isn't." I said in a serious tone. "But we have some terms and conditions."

"First of all, we need to reach an agreement," said the lawyer looking directly for Jisoo. "Miss Kim Ji-soo still has a contract with YG, we take care of her career, and we have projects that highlight her presence."

"I know that." Jisoo answers. "If our conditions are accepted, I will not cancel any contract, although I want to do now, I will wait until the end of the year to do so." She crosses her arms. The lawyer seemed satisfied.

"What are the terms, then?" FNC's lawyer asks.

"They are few and simple." Nara says. "My clients want to have control over the process, as the companies should not get involved beyond bearing the costs that they entail, from the defense to the psychological monitoring of their child. The companies will also not interfere in any personal decision made by my clients." The lawyers didn't show any sign that they were against the conditions... "Kim Ji-soo will continue to work for YG and Jung Hae-in for FNC until the end of the contract and will not sue or expose you to the media, but if this story somehow becomes public, Jung Haein and Kim Jisoo will not have any responsibility, and it will be up to the companies to protect Haeji's integrity, image, and safety, as well as my clients."

"And how do we know they will fulfill their part?" Says YG's lawyer. "And if they take this story to the media?"

"A contract will be signed." I say. "And we will continue working for you. In any case, if this story leaks, our lives, and careers will also be compromised and Haeji will be exposed. Something we don't want to happen."

"Mr. Jung Hae-in and Miss Kim Ji-soo are extremely famous, they will be seen with a child and speculation will start, when that happens, a statement about an adoption must be issued by both companies." Said Nara. "That way, neither the child nor the companies will be exposed about the true story. My clients also demand that companies ensure that the Haeji's identity is protected and that unauthorized photos are not leaked to the media."

The lawyers face each other and that tension was created. I held Jisoo's hand when I saw that she was breathing deeply, probably anxiously.

"We hope that everyone fulfills their part of the contract." Says the FNC lawyer. Both Jisoo and I let out a sigh of relief. "You can file the lawsuit to get your daughter back."
