"You still coming?" His voice was tinged with impatience, which was unlike Braeden.

"I'm sorry, I'm about to leave now. It's been a long day."

The other end of the phone was silent for a few seconds. "... Is something else going on?"

"What do you mean?" Natalie asked, holding the phone in the crook of her neck as she searched the kitchen for her car keys. "Like what?"

"I dunno. You just seem a little dodgy, lately. Like you don't want to spend time together, or something. If you feel different or something has changed, you know you can just talk to me, right?"

"No, no." Natalie disagreed, heart beginning to race as the conversation began to turn. "I've just been busy, that's all. I'm really sorry, I swear I do want to spend time with you, but school and work and studying is a lot."

Braeden listened.

"B, I am crazy about you. You're my best friend. I'm sorry I have a lot going on but I promise I will make more time for you. I'm sorry I made you feel this way." She found her car keys and took off out the front door.

He sighed, "I'm sorry... Maybe I'm just lacking some confidence. I love you. I think I'm just scared of losing you."

"No reason to be sorry. Maybe I've been neglecting you. And good on you to open up to me about it."

"You're not mad at me?" He asked slowly.

She chuckled. "No, of course not. I'm leaving now, I'll see you in 20, yeah?"

"Okay," he grinned. "I'm expecting a nice kiss when I see you. Love you. Drive safe."

Natalie's heart fluttered during conversations like these. The truth was that she was just as afraid of losing him. She wasn't sure what life would be like without him. She thought of all the fans who were not over Braeden's last girlfriend, Jennessa, even though they'd been over for nearly two years. How would Natalie ever be able to move on from him with Wallows-profile-pic bearing fans sending her messages and commenting on her posts, the same way they do to Jennessa two years later? And maybe that's all she would ever be— Braeden Lemasters' ex girlfriend. They were depressing thoughts.

Abruptly, Natalie was pulled back into reality when she arrived at Braeden's. He appeared at the door, pulling a hoodie over his head and then straightening it out. She smiled at him, appreciating his adorableness.

"You look cute, today." He said closing the door behind her. "I mean you always look cute, but today you look a little extra cute."

She kissed his cheek and ruffled his messy head of hair, and headed for the couch. But Braeden grabbed her by the waist and pulled her against him. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her tight. Natalie bit her cheek, smiling. She could feel his throbbing member against the back of her jeans.

Somehow or another they wound up on Braeden's bed. Her hands gripped the sheets tightly as Braeden planted soft kisses on her back. One arm snaked around her waist, holding her close as he thrusted. The other hand caressed her back and shoulders. He moved slow and sweet, each stroke filled with pure devotion.

Natalie breathed heavily, gritting her teeth. She closed her eyes tightly, trying hard to be quiet, though they were alone in the house. Braeden moaned softly, gently squeezing her hips. Natalie collapsed onto the bed, lying on her stomach. Braeden lay down beside her on his stomach, head resting in his folded arms.

They watched each other's eyes. Natalie closed her eyes and pulled herself close to Braeden, resting her head on his shoulder. Sleep found them soon thereafter.

She was woken by the sound of Braeden's voice. The curtains were still drawn but it was definitely morning, now. She glanced around his room. He wasn't there. Faintly, his voice came from the kitchen. He was clearly on the phone, but with who, Natalie was unsure. The conversation was formal and brief. Once it concluded he came back to the bedroom. He wore only a pair of plaid pajama pants, which were complimented by his messy bed head.

"I'm sorry if I woke you." He said, sitting at the edge of the bed.

"No," she said huskily.

"Remember a few months back I had an audition?"

"Yeah, I forgot about that." She yawned, sitting up in bed.

"Well, they actually want to work with me. There had been some delays and stuff for the project but I guess they got it straightened out. They want to start filming toward the beginning of next month."

"Wow," Natalie said with raised brows. "That's awesome, I'm really happy for you!"

She hugged him tight. He pulled her back down onto the bed, embracing her.
