Maya and Carina kissed their kids on their heads after cleaning up the dishes. KJ and Kai retreated to the living room. Maya grabbed Carina's hand leading her down the hallway to their bedroom.

Kai was annoying his sister as their moms walked by.

Carina turned around as Maya was dragging her down the hall. "Kai. KJ. Don't stay up too late! You have school tomorrow and have to be up early," Carina warned them playfully.

Maya turned around as well. "And Kai, make sure you brush your teeth, and put your dirty clothes in the hamper, please!"

They heard their kids groan in annoyance and knew that they had heard them. Maya closed the door behind her and Carina as they walked into their bedroom. Carina sat down on their bed as Maya began to change out of her work clothes.

"So, KJ told me you yelled at her?" Carina said to Maya laughing. Maya knew immediately that KJ had blown her cover. Maya played along.

"Oh, yeah. The whole station heard me yelling from my office," Maya joked.

Carina laughed with her wife. "Mop duty, huh?" Carina said.

"I didn't know what else to do!" Maya laughed as her wife pulled her onto the bed. "I didn't know what to say to her when we got there, and I had to keep her busy with something until I figured it out."

"Well, whatever you said to her bambina must've sunk in because she seems like she's in a much better mood than this morning," Carina said.

Maya looked at her wife with a sparkle in her eye. "I'm in a lot better mood now then I was this morning too," she said as she kissed her wife's neck.

Carina tilted her head back to show her wife that she was interested. "Is that so?" Carina said flirting with her wife. She kissed her lips and grabbed the back of her neck.

They paused and looked at each other. "I love you," Carina said as she admired her incredibly beautiful wife.

"I love you more, baby," Maya told Carina showing a soft smile. She pressed her lips against Carinas and continued to kiss her. They moved under the covers, kissing and laughing as if they were teenagers.

-

Maya was up at 5:30 the next morning getting ready to go for a run. She got up. Got dressed. Chugged a glass of water and headed out for her run.

About 50 minutes later Maya returned from her run. As she walked into the house, she could hear bickering coming from KJ and Kai.

"What the hell Kai! I told you I was going to drink that!" KJ yelled from the kitchen.

Kai snapped back, "You should've gotten to it sooner then!"

Maya rolled her eyes as she walked into the kitchen.

"Give it to me!" KJ yelled as she went to yank the sports drink out of Kai's hand.

Just as KJ swiped for the bottle her mom walked it.

"Woah! What is going on here?" Maya said sternly.

Both kids started talking at a million miles an hour. Maya, eyes wide said, "Give me the bottle!"

"But mommmmm," Kai argued.

Maya grabbed the bottle out of Kai's hands, opened it and started drinking.

"Both of you, upstairs and get ready for school. We're out the door in 30 minutes. No more bickering!" Maya said as she shook her head and let a small, flustered laugh.

KJ and Kai did as they were told and as they both walked upstairs arguing with each other under their breaths, Carina walked into the kitchen to greet Maya.

"Good morning, bambina," Carina said as she hugged her wife from behind. "What was all the yelling about?"

Maya handed the sport's drink to Carina.

Carina looked at her very confused.

"That battle is what all the arguing was about," Maya laughed and gave her wife a kiss.

"Oh my goodness. What are we going to do with those two? Carina questioned.

Maya looked at her wife and jokingly said, "We could run away together and leave them to fend for themselves."

Both wives giggled and continued to get ready to leave for work and drop the kids off at school.

KJ and Kai both came back downstairs once they had gotten ready for school. KJ was packing up her things and about to walk out to her car to drive to school when she heard her mom call for her. She turned around and went back inside reluctantly.

"What you turn 16 and can't give your moms a hug bye before you leave anymore?" Maya joked as she pulled her daughter in for a hug.

KJ gave her a quick hug back. "Sorry, I've just gotta get to school. Love you!"

Carina had walked over to give KJ a hug as well.

"Drive safe, bambina. Here is your phone for the day, but it will come back to us after school. Let mom or I know when you get there." Carina said as she kissed her daughter on the head. "And remember, straight to school and then you come straight home. No friends or activities until Sunday."

"Yeah, yeah. I know," KJ said frustratedly.

KJ walked out the door to head to school.

"Kai, you ready to go?" Carina asked. She was going to drop him off at school before she headed to work.

Kai nodded and they were on their way.

-

KJ pulled up to school and texted the group chat with her moms.

"Made it to school. You can stop worrying now!" she typed.

"We never stop worrying, bella! Love you," Carina replied.

"Get to studying! I love you!" Maya replied

KJ made it to her locker and started to unpack her bag. She heard her friends Tuck and Payton behind her.

"There she is!" Tucked remarked enthusiastically.

KJ turned around. "You guys totally bailed on me this weekend. I got busted!" she said.

Payton and Tuck looked at each other and then looked back at her.

"Dude, we told you we were leaving like four times, and you said you wanted to stay," Peyton laughed.

"Yeah KJ. I had to go! Have you met my mom?" Tuck said laughing with Payton. "Dr. Bailey doesn't play around."

KJ groaned. "I should've just come with you when you left. I had to call Andy! My moms grounded me until Sunday."

Just as she finished her sentence, Jordan walked up to her. Jordan and KJ have been talking to each other for a while, but there wasn't a label on anything. He was why KJ had wanted to go to the party to begin with.

"Hey KJ. You crushed beer pong on Saturday. There's another party again this weekend if you wanna come!" Jordan said as he put his arm around her.

"Unfortunately, I'm grounded until Sunday," KJ whined as she looked up at Jordan with a sad look on her face.

"Damn. That sucks," Jordan said almost laughing.

*The bell rings for class*

"I gotta get to class," Tuck said as he glared at Jordan.

"Yeah, same...," said Peyton.

Jordan kissed KJ on the cheek and they both walked off to go to their first period class together.
