Chapter IV - On Melancholy Hill

(I didn't notice that the title was a Gorillaz song until just now, alright? It just came to me. Also this chapter features Jimmy's POV for the majority so you can move on from there if you wish. Also a bit of smut too, but happy reading.) 

Dave helped me back into the house with his arms around me as he took me up the stairs, 

"Where are we going, Dave?" 

"To a room with a bit of peace and quiet." He answered as he opened a bedroom door, checking that no one was in before he shut the door behind me. He handed me a random drink as he sat down on the side of the bed with me. "I think it was really brave what you did, you know." 

"Shut up, Dave." I blushed, chuckling. "All I did was told him what I thought. Everyone does it from time to time." I shrugged, taking a small swig of the drink I was given. 

"But you did it. Which is an achievement for the young, shy, Millie that I remember from school." He smiled. 

"Oh," I covered my face with my hand in embarrassment. "Don't remind me, David." 

"The rosy-cheeked, odd-sock wearing girl with those strong glasses." I remembered what a twat I used to look. "And the prettiest smile I ever did see." 

He looked at my lips, slowly moving closer. Placing my drink on the cabinet beside me, I leaned against him, putting my hands around his neck and his around my waist before our lips touched, starting ever so lightly. I chuckled into his mouth, 

"What is it?" He laughed. 

"Just remembered what I used to look like. Oh and my braces, fucking hell." I continued chuckling, leaning my head on his shoulder. 

"You've grown up into a fine lookin' woman, Mills." He whispered as he held me close. 

"You've grown up into a handsome man, Dave." I complimented him back as I leaned to him again, catching his lips once more whilst I took his hat off of his head and plonked it on mine with a smile. 

He smiled down at me, holding me with both of his arms before he collapsed me on the bed and began to kiss me with more passion, running his hand up and down my thigh. I hummed in his mouth before he began to kiss down my neck and pulled my dress over my head so he could kiss my breasts. I returned the favor, leaving him shirtless and only in his trousers. He swiftly pulled my bra off before someone came wandering in, 

"Dave!" 

We both looked up as we noticed it was Jimmy. 

"What?" He groaned, turning to the boy as I quickly pulled the hat down, trying to cover my face a bit better as he put his hands in-front of my breasts. 

"What are you doing?" Jimmy laughed. 

"What do you think I'm doing?!" 

"Oh, yeah. And where have I seen that face before?" Jimmy raised his eyebrows as Dave and I cursed under our breathes. 

"Are you alright?" He whispered to me as I nodded faintly. 

"Just get in there, my son." Jimmy covered up his sadness as he wandered back out of the door, shutting it behind himself. 

Dave turned to me asking if we could continue, which I happily obliged to as he nestled himself back in my neck, making me giggle. 

A seconds later, we heard revving coming from the garden outside the window, it almost sounded like a loop. 

"What's that daft geezer doin' now?" Dave grumbled as he climbed off of me and opened the window. Seeing Jimmy doing circles in the now ruined garden. "Jimmy!" 

He shouted with a smile. 

I joined him at the window once I clasped my bra back on before Jimmy broke the fence down and drove down the road almost instantly nearly killing himself as a car pulled up outside the garden, making me and Dave shut the window quickly and fold the curtain back. 

Jimmy's POV:

I kept driving until I reached a dark tunnel by the river that was so quiet. I pulled down to the walkway in the tunnel and leant my scooter on the wall as I just sat there, listening to the wind blow and the water dripping while looking at my reflection before I noticed a couple making out by the end. I starred blankly at them with a growing grimace as I turned my head back around. 

Having an idea in my head, I held the handlebars and slowly began to turn, my headlight turning to the couples faces, blinding them before I quickly revved my engine and charged at them, with a laugh as I came up the other side of the hill, just missing them by a foot. 

Whilst I was laughing about it, I still had a weird about the party. Like, why did Mills lash out like that at me? And why so sudden? She knows I like her and she's my friend, so why shouldn't I bring her to parties and such? Was she that upset about it that she thought that she would shag Dave just to try and help her get through it? 

I stopped my scooter abruptly as I reached the road opposite the field that Millie and I spent the first day of leaving school, I turned to it, seeing her sat down with that smile of hers as I brought my scooter up the hill to show her it, I chuckled to myself.

Shit, one of us has really fucked up here. 

Back to Millie's POV:  

As I led on the bed with Dave next me, holding a cigarette, I thought of something. 

I can't just cut Jimmy off now, not after everything we've went through together. If he wants to get with Steph, that has nothing to do with me. It's none of my business. I just need to let him know that if I don't want to go, I won't go. 

"What are you thinking about?" Dave smiled, pulling my half covered body to his. 

"Nothing." I answered, turning to him. I could always bring Dave with me just in case, for a bit of support, if we're going to continue to be a thing or just for now. Or is that a bit unfair? I'm sure he'd want to go to parties with me. 

There's something she isn't telling me, Dave thought. 

"Come on, tell me." He continued pestering me. "You know you can tell me anything, don't you." 

"Do you want to get out of here, it's getting late." I wasn't ignoring his question, I just didn't want to answer it. 

"Yeah, alright." He answered, sighing, buttoning his shirt back up and down his tie again and opened the door for me and then we walked out. 

And that was that, for the time being.
