Wednesday was in her dorm again, almost every day since. She didn't like her parents, her brother was OK, he was only person she could tolerate in her family, including Thing.
Thing doesn't usually go to the dorm with her, she didn't really know why, perhaps it was the traumatizing event where he got stabbed directly on the palm? It was one of the only times where she didn't like a gory scene.
Enid comes in the dorm from time to time, usually it's when she's upset about things. Wednesday was on her typewriter, right now the killer has been identified and a chase is happening. It was nothing much.
Wednesday heard a door open, she waited patiently for a moment to make sure that it was Enid. She knows it was her because usually whenever she is having some negative emotional feeling she will flop on her bed and groan. Sometimes depending on the level she'll hear screams in the pillow.
Wednesday turned around to see if it was her roommate, since they haven't made any of those actions yet. And indeed it was Enid, she seems to be OK right now. But whenever Wednesday looked closer if she could tell the puffy eyes, they looked stingy, and whenever her eyes are red and puffy, The blue part of her eyes show more, the only part that didn't have any red on it.
Enid looked up and seemed to hesitate for a moment. Finally she got up from her side of the bed and went to Wednesdays'. Wednesday did not know why she was doing this, but she continued typing. Finally Enid broke the silence.
"Wednesday...Do my scars look ugly?" She let out a whimper at the end.
"I know it's probably one of your biggest insecurities, knowing you it probably is for sure." She continued on not knowing what to say, she wasn't really good at comforting people. But she tries.
"Personally I think your scars look pretty..."
"How did you get rid of your wounds?"
"I didn't wait, I helped them by doing daily skincare and such I guess."
"Perhaps that's the problem? What stuff should I use for my scars? Will it away completely?"
Wednesday didn't know what to say, she just listened to her complaints. When Enid wouldn't stay quiet she finally stopped typing.
"If I hear one more thing about your scars I will literally shove your head in water until you drown."
"I know you won't."
Wednesday looked up at Enid meeting her eyes.
Enid just frowns.
Wednesday finally got up from her chair and sat on the bed next to Enid.
"Erm, if it makes you happy, maybe we can go to the Weathervane?"
Enid shot up a glance. "Really!? Just us!? No tricks!?"
"Um, yeah."
Enid hugged her roommate, she really hope it wasn't trick! Wednesday didn't hug back, however she didn't push her back.
"Alright, I trust you Wednesday. so when will we go?"
"Around lunch I guess." Wednesday noticed that the hug was a bit longer.
"Erm, we will just meet at the cafe."
"Alrighty!"
And then Enid left Wednesday be alone in her dorm.
Wednesday didn't know what this feeling was rising in her chest, her heart rate seems like it was speeding up.
But she just ignored it. At least, the best she could.
Was she growing soft for Enid?
