"S-Scare pose? But I'm not ready yet!" You said, nervous.
"You have to do it, y/n." Thaddeus said, gently. "I know you can do this."
"But... What if I fail?" You asked, still feeling very anxious.
Thaddeus smiled at you and grabbed your hand. "Don't worry about that," he said. "I believe in you. Now go get 'em!" He gave you a little push towards the door.
With a deep breath, you entered the room where the training was taking place. The trainers looked up from their paperwork as you came into the room. They seemed surprised to see you there.
"Hello there," one of them said. "Are you here for an audition?"
"Y-Yes sir." You replied, trying to sound confident.
The trainer nodded. "Alright then. Go ahead and give us your best scare pose."
As you got into position, you could feel yourself shaking. You were so scared! There was no way you'd be able to pull this off! After a few seconds, you felt something brush against your foot. Looking down, you saw that it was a small ball.
"What's going on out there?!" One of the trainers shouted. "Do we need to come out there and help you?!"
Looking back up, you saw that the other trainees had already finished their poses. It was now or never. Taking a deep breath, you picked up the ball and threw it across the room. As soon as it hit the wall, it exploded into thousands of pieces.
"Wow..." You heard someone say.
"Not bad." Another voice added.
Opening your eyes, you saw that everyone was staring at you with wide eyes. Even the trainers were looking at you with shock.
"Did... Did I do it right?" You asked, nervously.
One of the trainers slowly walked over to you. He was smiling. "Yes. That was perfect." He held out his hand. "Welcome aboard."
"R-Really?" You stammered. "I made it?"
"You sure did." He replied. "Congratulations."
Suddenly, you felt arms wrap around you. Looking behind you, you saw that it was Thaddeus.
"You did great!" He exclaimed, happily. "I knew you could do it!"
"Thank you." You said, giving him a hug. "This wouldn't have been possible without you."
Smiling, he hugged you tighter. "Anytime."
