Sneezing

Thaddeus Bile was a good monster. He loved to scare kids, and he did his best to be a scarer. But there was one problem: Thaddeus was allergic to humans! And so when he got too close to a human, he sneezed, causing him to get fired from Monsters Incorporated for accidentally hurting the little girl he tried to scare.

But even though Thaddeus was now jobless, he still had his friends who were also monsters. They went out on dates together, watched movies together, and sometimes they would just sit around and talk about their lives. One day, while they were all sitting in Mike Wazowski's apartment, Randall decided that it was time to introduce them to (y/n). You were another monster, but you didn't work at Monsters Inc. Instead, you worked at Harryhausen's restaurant as a waitress. You were very pretty, with purple skin and long black hair, and you wore glasses over your yellow eyes. The other monsters thought you were cute, and Mike especially liked you. So when Randall brought you into the room, he immediately blushed and stammered nervously. "U-um...hi..."

You smiled warmly at him. "Hello," you said softly.

"Um...I'm Mike."

"It's nice to meet you, Mike."

Mike blushed even more, looking down at his feet shyly.

Meanwhile, Thaddeus had been watching this interaction between you and Mike with a bit of envy. He'd always had a crush on you, but he never really showed it because he knew that you liked Mike. But right now, he wanted to tell you how he felt. Maybe then you'd see that he was better than Mike. So he cleared his throat loudly, trying to get your attention. When you looked at him, he smiled brightly. "Hey, (y/n)!" he called.

"Oh, hi Thaddeus!" you greeted cheerfully. "How are you?"

"I'm doing fine, thanks." Thaddeus moved closer to you, leaning against the couch beside you. "So...how have you been lately? What've you been up to?"

You shrugged. "Not much. I've just been working at Harryhausen's and hanging out with my friends."

"Yeah, me too." Thaddeus nodded. "But I don't think we hang out enough."

"We don't?" you asked curiously.

"No, not really. I mean, we're both free most days, so why don't we do something together sometime?"

You raised an eyebrow. "Like what?"

Thaddeus scratched his head, thinking hard. "Well...we could go to the park, or maybe catch a movie...or we could go to dinner..."

"Sounds like fun," you replied. "But wouldn't Mike want to come along?"

Thaddeus shook his head. "Nah, he can find someone else to go out with. We'll leave him here."

"Okay." You giggled a little. "When should we go out?"

"Tomorrow night?"

"Sure."

"Great!" Thaddeus grinned. "I'll pick you up at six o'clock."

And so the next evening, Thaddeus picked you up outside of your house and took you to the movies. After that, he took you to a fancy restaurant where you ate spaghetti and meatballs. Then he drove you home, walked you to your front door, and kissed you goodnight. You were surprised by this, but you kissed him back anyway.

After that, you two started going out regularly. You went to the beach, you saw plays, you even went camping once. But every time you went out, Thaddeus kept wanting to kiss you again, and eventually you gave in and let him kiss you. It wasn't until several months later that you realized that you had fallen in love with him.

One night, after Thaddeus had taken you to a romantic Italian restaurant, he took you home and held your hand as you walked up to your front door. "I had a great time tonight," he told you.

"Me too," you agreed.

Thaddeus leaned in and pressed his lips to yours. You kissed him back, wrapping your arms around his neck. This continued for several minutes before Thaddeus finally pulled away. "Goodnight," he whispered, smiling.

"Goodnight." You returned his smile.

Thaddeus turned and walked back to his car. You watched him drive off before unlocking your front door and entering your house. As soon as you stepped inside, you heard a loud sneeze coming from upstairs. Your mother poked her head out of the hallway and looked down at you.
