Chapter 04

It was the time of day, the sun was shining in the fields and the wind was blowing. Some boys and girls were standing on the roads outside the houses. Neil was standing by holding Avni’s waist with one hand and was holding Avni’s arm with the second hand. Avni's hand were on Neil's shoulder. They were lost in the eyes of each other. The girls were standing by opening their mouths as they have seen the ghost. The boys were not behind, Vidyut was in shock, Ali and DD were also looking at them with open mouth and Avneil were lost in the eyes of each other. Vidyut looked at the boys and girls. He made a face and shook the boys. They looked at Vidyut who signed them what is this. They pointed at Avni and Neil. Vidyut looked at them.

DD: Noodle bhaiya, kya aap bhi wahi dekh rahe hain jo main dekh raha hun?

Ali: yeah, bro.

Vidyut: yeh, aaj apne hero ko kya ho gaya hai. ACP Neil Khanna, ek larki ki ankhon main kho gaya hai.

Girl 01: kya shehar ke log asa karte hain?

Girl02: lag to asa hi raha hai. Chee, chee.

The girl looked away. Meera looked at them.

Meera: chup karo.

The boys looked at them.

Neil came back to the real world to hear the whispers. Neil rolled his eyes here and there and Avni also came back to the real world when the eye contact broke. Neil looked at Avni who was looking at him. They were again lost but this time, Avni broke the eye contact and Neil made her stand. They were feeling awkward and they looked here and there.

Meera came forward.

Meera: aye larke yeh kya badtameezi hai.

Neil and Avni looked at her. Neil got angry. Avni was about to say.

DD: aye larki, galti tumhari friend mera matlab who kya kehte hain…

DD looked at Ali.

DD: Kye kehte hain friend ko?

Ali and Vidyut thinks.

Ali: han, saheli.

DD: haannnnn, Saheli. Tumhari saheli ki galti hai woh takrai humare Sir ji se.

Ali nodded. Vidyut got irritated so he looked away.

Girl: ji nahi galti aap ke dost ki hai.

Ali: ji nahi, aap logon ka dihan kahin aur tha.

Neil was about to say.

Meera: aur aap ka dihan hum per tha. Aap jaan bhuj kar takraye hum se. Hum aap shehar walon ko ache se jante hain hum ne filmo aur dramo main dekha hai kaise aap log larkiyun ko phasate hain.

Neil looked at her surprisingly by opening his mouth. Avni caught her head.

Vidyut: excuse me, hum ase waise larke nahi hain. hum bohat hi respectable family se belong karte hain.

Girl: kya karte hain?

Meera: koi kaam karte hunge. Shakal se hi kaam wale lagte hain.

Vidyut was shocked. Others were also shocked including Avni because she can feeling that they belong to respectable families.

Avni: Meera…

Neil looked at Avni and he found Avni’s voice melodies.

Meera: aap chup rahiye, aap ne ek anjaan larke ko ase chune kaise diya khud ko.

Avni: woh chu nahi…

Meera: sshhhh.

Neil smiled to see Avni. The boys and girls argued and Avni and Neil got frustrated.
