Chapter 07

It was daytime, the sun was shining over the fields and farmers were working there. Children were playing and pigeons were flying in the air. The Khanna family came to the Mehta house where the Mehta family welcomed the Khanna family and they met. Neil greets the Mehta family and Prakash did the introduction. Neil took the blessings of Bari Dadi and Dayawanti Mehta. Neil's friends were with him. 

Everyone came and sat. Neil was looking down because he was getting nervous and was not interested at all.  The servants came with the refreshments.

Ashish: aur kaise ho, Neil beta?

Neil looked at him. He smiled.

Neil: acha hun.

Ashish: tumhari bahaduri ke qisse aksar sunte aur parhte rehte hain.

Neil smiled and looked down.

Ali whispered in Vidyut’s ear: itna shareef waise to nahi hai jitna abhi ban raha hai.

They laughed slightly and made serious faces.

Shweta: ab, Avni kahan hai?

Neil looked at Shweta and felt something to hear Avni's name. Neil thinks.

Neil in mind: Avni. Yeh naam sun kar ek ajeeb sa connection kyun feel hota hai.

Neil thinks.

Nm: woh apne room main hai.

Dayawanti: Neela, Avni ko le kar aa.

Neela maa nodded. Neil looked at Dayawanti Mehta then he looked at Neela maa who smiled to see him and Neil also passed the smile and then Neela maa got up and goes. Neil looked down.

On the other side, Avni was sitting in front of the dining table and was wearing her watch then she saw herself in the mirror and thinks.

Avni: Tension ke mare ab to bhukh lag rahi hai.

Avni made a sad pout.

Avni: pata nahi kaisa hoga woh Kharos. Agar chipku howa to?

Avni thinks and looked worried.

Avni: chipku howa to kya? Tu bhi karata Queen hai ek hi kick se sari chipku giri khatam ho jaye gi. Hmm.

The door opened and Avni saw there in the mirror. Neela maa entered the room and she smiled to see Avni  Avni also passed the smile. Neela maa came to Avni. She cupped Avni's chin from behind.

Nm: Kitna pyaar lag raha hai mera bacha.

Avni: I am a boy. Oh God, I didn't know that.

Neela maa smile.

Nm: Chup. Pagal.

They smiled.

Nm: chal, niche sab tera intezar kar rahe hain. Tere in-laws, tujhe se milne ke liye baitaab hain.

Avni: oh come on, mamma, abhi in-laws howe nahi hain aur honge bhi ya nahi who knows.

Neela maa: but mujhe asi feeling arahi hai ke ho jaenge.

Avni made a face.

Avni: mamma.

Neela maa smiled.

Nm: sach.

Avni made a sad face.

Nm: acha chalo ab chalen, sab humari raah dekh rahe honge.

Avni looked at the mirror and she felt nervous so she took a deep breath.

Nm: kya howa?

Avni looked at her.
