CHAPTER 9

ZOYA'S POV:

I shuffled through my bag looking for my resumé, kittu texted me about the vacancy at her college library and that the management would like conduct an interview.

I found it, i quickly gathered things and left the room. Just when i was about to enter library I bumped into someone, hard. I really need to stop running into cars and people. I looked back to see a guy in a lab coat staring right at me, slightly annoyed.

" I am really, really sorry. I was in a hurry."

"It's fine, i am also late for my class, are you a freshie? He asked

"Umm no, i am here for a job"

"Oh nice, good luck"

"Thanks" with that he walked off.

Luckily, i got the job, the salary was also good. They asked me to start from today, i started with sorting of books.

I got free at 5, it was a 9 to 5 job and i was really happy about it. I'll have the evening by myself. Kittu told me to come to the canteen if i was free at room, i didn't tell her about the job and the interview earlier and I wanted to tell her in person.

"Hello, so how was the day?" She asked, hugging me.

"I have a news for you, any guesses" i asked her as we settled down.

"Umm, you made a boyfriend? Or maybe you found a cute doctor bf for me?" She said giggling.

"Godd, kittu you seriously need to stop looking for boyfriends idiot, i got the job"

"What! And you are telling me now? I would have bunked my classes, ran to you, gave you a hug and partied with you all day." she said all excited.

"Then I did the right thing, you would have wasted your whole day." I said laughing.

"Seriously Zo, you sound like mom." She said with fake horrified expressions. We both laughed loudly on it.

We were walking back to hostel when we met one of kittu's friend, Sneha she was nice but she asked a lot of personal questions, which made me uncomfortable. But Kittu smartly Dodged her questions, finally when the Q/A session came to an end, she left. We grabbed a cup of coffee on our way back.

We both laid on our beds, i was telling her about my job, while she was telling me about her day.

"Zoya please don't mind Sneha, she's a bit nosey." We both were quiet, when kittu spoke.

"You don't have to be sorry for anyone or anything, I understand, everyone loves gossips. And i have a dramatic story." She remained quiet.

"You know what, I think I should share it with you." I sat up, she also sat straight, listening attentively.

By the time i finished she had tears in her eyes. She got up and hugged me tight. My eyes started watering too. We both cried, hugging each other.

"Zoya you are the strongest person I've ever met, i am so sorry you had to bear so much, i really wish someone would have been there for you, to get you out of that sh*t hole." She said, crying, hugging me.

"I almost gave up at some point, tried multiple suicide attempts, i also wished to have someone.
But anyways, let it go, now i have you, it's better late than never." I said wiping my eyes. She lightly chuckled on that.
