Their Accidental Love

CHAPTER 8

KARTIK'S POV:

After dropping off zoya, i went for an interview and a brand shoot. After what seems like an eternity the shoot finally came to an end. I went home as soon as I got free. I was so tired and sleepy, it was a hectic day but I felt good spending time with zoya, i like her vibe, she's so warm and friendly.

I don't know why but i really like to spend time with her, although I only know her for a day. Also i decided to talk about her to mom and dad and tell them the truth, they deserve to know.

With these thoughts occupying my mind, i don't know when i passed out on sofa.

I jolted from sleep when katori literally jumped on my face, she's such a brat and i have got to teach her some basic manners.

"Katori you need to stop jumping on people especially sleeping people" I half scolded her. She ignored me and ran to dad. Wow.

I heard my mom laughing at the back.

"Mom seriously yar she literally jumped on my face" i made a face at her.

"Haha i know, i know, by the way you shouldn't be complaining you spoiled her with all the extra love and attention, anyways you've been sleeping for 2 hours, i was about to wake you up for dinner" Moms love taunting.
What! I slept for 2 hours i thought it was only like 15 minutes.

We had dinner, after that we sat together in the living room. So i decided to talk to them.

"Um mom, dad, I've to talk about something really important" i started.

"Go on koki, what is it?" Dad asked patiently.

"What happened, are you alright, did you again did something wrong, as there any issue on your workplace" And mom being mom got all worried.

"Oh God Mala, you need to relax, let him speak" Dad calmed her down.

"Thanks dad, it's about zoya, mom you know her and dad she's a receptionist at hospital mom works in. Actually two days back, zoya had a little accident with my car and thankfully she was alright, nothing severe. So the thing is mom, dad zoya left her home due to circumstances and she's staying at kittu's hostel with her" I told them and waited for their reactions.

It was all quite for about a minute. Then mom spoke.

"Why what was wrong, what do you mean by circumstances?"

"Mom, the people she lived with were anything but a family she was more like a unpaid servant and that day all the limits were crossed, they were selling her for money to some mafia. That's when she decided to stand up for herself and she ran. Then we had a accident and i brought her to you for check up and after that i dropped her to kittu's hostel. Also i haven't told kittu anything about zoya and her past. I told you both just in case if you get to know about her from anyone else you won't have a bad impression of her." I explained them everything.

"I am proud of her, what she did was the most right thing anyone can do at the moment, although i do feel that she should have done it long before or seek help from anyone, but better late than never." Dad finally said and i was relieved to hear what he said.

"Oh Zoya my poor child, she never ever gave a hint of what she had to face back at home, i always thought she might have financial issues but things were worst than that. Yes she did the right thing and we must support her in this decision." Mom said her eyes watering a little bit.

I was super proud of my parents, they were just so different and had a complete different perspective of things. Others would have might been already labelled zoya as characterless girl and a disgraceful girl who ran off from her home.

"Thank you so much mom and dad for everything" i said, out of no where, getting all emotional.

"Omg koki you need rest, work has tired you off" mom said laughing and dad joining her. I laughed too.

After the laughing session came to an end, we retired to our respective rooms.

ZOYA'S POV:

As i entered the room kittu was laying on the bed and she looked tired. Ahh i understand medical sucks!

"How was the day, you look tired" i asked her keeping my bag on the table.

"Yarrr it was hectic, extra classes, uncovered syllabus and overnight duties, i so need a break man" she said, exhausted.

" Yea i understand, we can go shopping, it'll be a temporary get away for you also i need to buy stuff." I suggested her, i really need clothes i just can't keep borrowing stuff from Kritika.

"Sure, why not, actually it's a very good idea let's go shopping, spend time together, get to know each other and be best friends forever." she giggled at the end and I joined her.
We got ready and left for the mall.

It was for the first time i really shopped for myself, honestly i was hesitant at first and didn't know what to buy and how to talk to the shop keepers but kritika encouraged and helped me a lot. I think she seemed to understand my awkwardness.

Anyways, we bought a lot of things, i was a bit happy and proud of myself, for saving some of the salary for tough times, although I didn't had any good phase through out and it was all the tough times only, but thankfully it was over now.

"Come on zoya let's go to the food court and eat something" Kritika said, holding my hand, guiding me. With our hands full of shopping bags, we finally made it to the food court and ordered food.

"Kritika thank you so much yar, you actually helped a lot, i couldn't have done it without you, I don't know why people enjoy shopping too much it seems like a task to me." I said, as we settled down on one of the chair.

"Zoya, firstly, call me kittu, secondly, you don't have to thank me it was so much fun with you, when i go shopping I always want to explore and look through stuff but no one let me do it, be it my friends, family, they are always like don't waste time on stuff you don't want. And lastly, I think it was your first real shopping experience, you'll eventually come to like it or love it, trust me."

She said joyfully and i was happy she enjoyed, i always feel like a boring person and no one can like my company but she made me feel like I can be fun too and not just her, kartik too make me feel like I am someone special or worth your precious time. They all are their self so special, i always dreamt of being a part of such family.

"Zoya, why you keep zoning out all the time, loosen up a bit and relax, we are here to chill and be care free. Order must be ready by now, I'll go and bring it." With that left to bring food.
As i sat there, i realized that she's right i need to loosen up and get over my past and not to think about it literally all the time, i have to keep myself busy, also i need a job, I don't think i can resume as a receptionist in that hospital now.

By now Kritika, no kittu, ( i need to get used to calling her that ), had returned with our order and we started to eat.

"Kittu, i think i should start looking for a new job, do you have anything in mind regarding that?"

"It's a good idea zoya, but u don't have to worry about your financial expenses."

"No no, yar please you guys have already done so much, also its better than sitting idle all day and i have done a job before i have experience, i was a receptionist at a hospital"

"Oh wow really you didn't tell me that, i think my college needs a new librarian, I'll confirm it by tomorrow and drop in your resume" she said and i saw a ray of hope, job at her college would be perfect, I will not have to go far from hostel.

After dinner, we returned hostel, we both were tired so we retired to bed early wishing good night to each other.
