ZOYA'S POV:

We were waken up by Mala aunty, she had the spare key to our room and thankfully she came just in time to wake us up else, we would be late for the festival.

By the time we got ready and reached the hotel lobby, Kartik and Uncle were already waiting for us.

"These girls are here just to sleep." Mala aunty said as we all walked towards the exit gate.

"Let them be, they don't get enough sleep in the hostel. And we are here to relax and be ourselves." Manish uncle said, smiling at both of us. He's just like my father, no matter what he takes our side.

We left the hotel and reached the festival by 11:15, although the drive wasn't long but the traffic was heavy.
As we entered, there was a sea of people. Unfortunately, we were separated from each other in the crowd.

Aunty, uncle and Kittu were separated from us. I immediately panicked not finding anyone but someone grabbed my shoulder from behind. I was quick to push the person away but it was Kartik. Thank God I wasn't alone. He quickly grabbed my hand and took me to a side, less crowded.

"Relax Zoya, this place gets crowded on 31st. I have texted Kittu, we have decided to meet at a stall, whoever gets there first will wait there for everyone else." He explained to me and we decided to walk that stall, hand in hand.

Tonight was a bit more colder than the previous night. Although the place was crowded I still felt cold. When Kartik held my hand I immediately found comfort in his warm hands. While, mine were as cold as ice.

We found them at a distance and decided to explore the place a little before the countdown to the new year starts. There were various kinds of stalls and rides, as we walked past one of the stalls, a jewelry stall caught my attention.

I nudged Kittu to stop, we walked to that stall and checked out various types of jewelry. It was Paris's traditional jewelry. Kittu selected beautiful bracelet and earrings for herself. I bought a a pair of anklets and a cute locket. As we were paying, a beautiful ring caught my attention and I bought it for Mala aunty.
