"Veda!" Edwin ran up to me, hugging my waist.
"Hey, Edwin." I ruffled his hair.
"Guess what?" he said.
"What?"
"Dad let me get a dog! He's a puppy and his name is Thunder!" he excitedly said.
"Really? That's cool!" I told him, and he nodded.
"Yeah, but Dad said that I couldn't bring him over here." he frowned.
"That's probably because he would run away, and you wouldn't like that." I explained.
We walked back inside and he gave my Mom a hug and told her about his dog, Thunder.
"Veda, where's Corey?" Edwin asked.
"Umm." I thought for a minute. "You know, I haven't seen him all day." I told him.
"Well, I wanna see him!" he excitedly said.
"You want to go see if he's home?" I asked.
"Yeah!" he exclaimed and we began to walk down to his apartment. I love how good Edwin and Corey got along, it was adorable.
I knocked on the wooden door and we waited for an answer. A lady, who I assumed was his mother, opened the door.
"Hello, how can I help you?" she smiled.
"Is Corey here?" Edwin asked.
"Yes, he is actually. Can I ask who you two are?" she asked.
"I'm Veda, and this is my little brother, Edwin."
"Oh, so you're the famous, Veda?" she smirked.
"You know of me?" I asked.
"Corey talks about you all the time." she said. "I'm Sheila, his Mother."
"Nice to meet you." I smiled and Edwin nodded.
"Corey! Someone's here to see you!" she yelled inside.
A few moments later, Corey entered the door way by his Mom.
"It's Veda." she wiggles her eyebrows.
"Mom." he groaned.
"Okay, okay. Go have fun, be back by dinner." she said. He walked outside with us and his Mom shut the door.
"Hey little man." he ruffled Edwin's hair.
"Don't call me that." Edwin whined.
"Awe, c'mon, little Ed." he laughed.
"Hey, Veda" he smiled.
"Hey, so, what do you wanna do today?" I asked, as we started to walk upstairs.
"Wanna watch movies again?" he asked. I nodded.
"What movie do you want to watch?" I asked when we got into my room.
"I'm fine with whatever."
"Okay, then, Edwin?" I asked.
"Short Circuit!" he said.
"No, not again." I said, he frowned.
"What about-" he thought "Ghostbusters!"
"I'm fine with that." Corey said. I nodded.
I grabbed the VCR tape and put it into the player. Edwin sat down in my chair, like last time, and Corey and I laid on my bed.
Halfway during the movie, I could feel myself falling asleep, and an arm drape around my waist.
