"Edwin! Are you ready?" I yelled from the other side of my bedroom door. He was getting ready for his game. Edwin yelled back a 'yeah' then the knob started to turn. He walked out in his little baseball uniform and was carrying his bat.
"Veda, is Corey coming?" My Mom asked once we entered our living room. "I'm pretty sure. I'll go get him." I told her. I walked out of our apartment and down stairs to Corey's. I knocked and waited a few seconds.
"Hey, Veda!" Someone said from behind, startling me. I turned to see Corey. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare ya. I was at the market." He added and took a key out of his back pocket, using it to unlock the door.
"Its fine. I was just gonna see if you're still coming to Edwin's game." He held the door open for me to come in. "Oh, man! I totally forgot about that! Yeah, I'll go, let me go put on a different shirt real quick." He said and ran off to his room. He came out moments later wearing a red shirt.
"Do I need to bring any money?" Corey asked. I replied with "No, it's a little league, so it's free." "Okay good, because my parents aren't home so I can't snag the money off them." I laughed then led him back outside to where my Mom and Edwin were standing by the car, waiting.
"Hey, little man." Corey greeted Edwin and gave him a high five. "Are you guys ready?" Mom questioned. We all nodded and hopped in the car. It took only about two minutes to get to the field. Edwin went to the dugout along with my Mom. That left Corey and I to go find seats.
"Let's sit up there." Corey pointed to the spot that we sat at when we first met. He took my hand and helped me up the bleachers, to the very top where we took a seat. All the players started to go out to the field when Corey shouted "Let's play ball!"

The game ended after an hour, with Edwin's team, once again, winning. My Mom decided to celebrate, by going out for pizza, with the team.
"Veda, please don't sit with us." Edwin complained, as we opened the door to the pizza place. "Why? You think I'm going to embarrass you?" I teased. He huffed and crossed his arms. "Don't worry, I won't sit with you." I laughed at him, he smiled in satisfaction. "Corey and I will sit a a different table." I added on.
"Let's sit at this one." Corey pointed to a booth. I agreed and we sat down as all the baseball team and parents pushed tables together so that they could all sit at one.
"What pizza do you kids want?" My Mom asked. "We're fifteen." I groaned. "I'm fine with anything."
"Yeah me too." Corey said, so my Mom just got us pepperoni. She laid the tray on our table then went to go sit down with the other kids. Corey and I both grabbed two pieces and started to eat.
"So, is this our first official date?" Corey joked. "I didn't know it was a date." I raised my eyebrows. "Yeah, well, I'd consider it one." He smiled.
"Well, then it's our first date." I confirmed.
