"Veda, Corey, wake up." I felt someone shake me awake. I slowly opened my eyes to see the room dark, the TV still on and Edwin hovering over me.

I felt someone stir behind me. I looked back to see Corey waking up and us cuddled against each other. He opened his eyes and looked at Edwin.

"I still wanna sleep." he closed his eyes, tightened his grip around my waist, and hid his face in the crook of my neck. I just laid there.

"But the movie's over." Edwin whined.

"Well, then put in another one and let us sleep." he said.

I knew that it was impossible for Edwin to watch movies when someone's asleep, I don't know why, but he's never been able too.

I knew that if I got up, Corey would get up. I started to wiggle out of his embrace and when I did, I slowly got out of the bed and stretched my legs.

"Veda." Corey whined from the bed.

"C'mon, Corey, get up." I said.

"Yeah." Edwin mocked, crossing his arms and having a triumphant smile.

I heard Corey sigh and then he sat up from the bed.

"I'm hungry." Edwin said.

"Me too." I told him and then walked out of the room, with Edwin and Corey following from behind.

"What do you want to eat?" I said the both of them when we got to the kitchen.

"Chicken nuggets!" Edwin exclaimed.

"What about you, Corey?" I asked him.

"I'm not hungry, but thanks." he said and I smiled.

I went to the freezer and pulled out the bag which contained the chicken nuggets.

"How many do you want?" I asked Edwin as I pulled out a tray to put them in and set the oven to the right temperature.

"I don't know." he shrugged as I opened the bag.

"Screw it." I said, and poured the whole bag into the tray.

After Edwin and I ate, we put our plates in the dishwasher and Corey said

"Why don't we all go somewhere?"

"Go somewhere?" I asked.

"Yeah, like an adventure. This town is old, there has to be something cool. Like a cool hang out place or something." he explained.

"You know, that's not a bad idea-"

"I wanna go!" Edwin interrupted.

"You can come." Corey nodded towards him.

"Edwin, I don't know. With your asthma it might be a little too much."

"Aw c'mon! I play baseball and I don't have to use my inhaler."

"He has a point." Corey said. I thought for a minute.

"Edwin, go get changed. Corey and I will go get the bikes." I said and they both cheered.

Corey and I headed towards the door and Edwin went inside my room. Before we walked out I yelled to Edwin

"Meet us downstairs!" and we shut the door.
