Chapter 12 - Car chase

Kiara's POV

I woke up to the sound of loud knocking on the door. Nathan cursed in his sleep and fell asleep after turning to the other side. I slowly got up from the bed and looked through the whole as to who it was. My heart started beating faster, when I saw Jay stood there. I started slowly walking away from the door because I knew he was here to catch me and take me back to Danny. I walked to Nathan's bed side and slowly tried to wake him up. But he was extremely stubborn.

"Kiara! It's Jay! Please open!" I heard Jay saying from the door. But I wasn't sure if I was to trust him.

"I'm not going to hurt you. Please!" He banged the door. I walked to it slowly with all the courage I had. I put my hand over the handle and thought if I should open it. I slowly pushed it down and the door opened to reveal Jay's face. He walked in and pulled me into a huge hug.

"I'm so glad you ok!" He kissed my forehead.

"How did you find me?" I asked.

"I saw Nathan's car.." He began but we were both cut off my Nathan's voice.

"Kiara.." He called from the bed in his morning voice.

"Nathan, Jay's here!" I told him as Jay and I walked to where the bed was.

"I'm not going to hurt Kiara. Don't give me that look." He told Nathan and I chuckled in the corner.

"Kiara, I heard about Danny putting you on the kill list! Why would he?" He asked me.

"I don't know Jay. I thought you guys would know. Siva was taking Danny's side! I thought he was my friend!" I looked to the ground.

"Siva doesn't know the whole truth either! Anyway, I gotta leave before they find me. And you can't stay here either. Take care of yourself, and call me if you need help ok? Nathan, you better take care of her!" He said sternly and Nathan nodded like an attentive boy

"Bye" He said as he hugged me and quickly ran out of the room. He shut the door behind him and I looked at Nathan.

"Hey." I smiled as I sat down next to him.

"He really cares about you." He smiled as he intertwined our fingers.

"He's like an older brother to me!" I muttered.

"I know." He kissed the back of my hand.

"Maybe we should leave now. I don't want Danny to find me!" I said as I got up and started getting ready. Nathan got up too and did the same.

"You ready?" He asked. I smiled and nodded. After last night, I wasn't scared of being around Nathan anymore. I knew exactly how I felt about him and I could openly tell it to him. Things were starting to get brighter around me, even though I had assassins like Danny trying to find and kill me. But I was ready to do anything to save Nathan's life.

"Let's go." He said as he grabbed my hand and we walking to the elevator. We checked out of the hotel and went into the car park. As Nathan was unlocking his car, I noticed someone familiar. I looked a little closer, and realized it was one of Danny's men. I always saw him around at the building. I quickly got into the car and shut it.

"DRIVE DRIVE" I shouted to Nathan. The guy ran into his car and started the engine. Nathan did the same and pulled out of the drive way. We got into the car lane and Nathan was driving at a very high speed, trying to dodge many cars in front of us.

"Who is he??" Nathan asked, his eyes focused on the road.

"Danny's guy." I said as I turned and looked to the back of the car. He was right behind us and my heart beat just got faster. Nathan kept looking at the mirror above him and driving faster. I slowly grabbed my gun from under the seat and loaded it. Nathan took a quick glance at me and shook his head.

"No Kiara!" He said

"He's going to get us!" I said as I pointed the gun to the back.

"No! Stop!" Nathan shouted. In the hassle the guy behind hit the car into us, and we went flying into the forest area.  The car came to a halt once we hit the tree.

"Great!" Nathan muttered as he hit the steering wheel. "Now we have no car! Thanks to you!" He shouted.

"Me?? I wasn't doing anything. If you had just let me shoot him, this wouldn't have happened!!" I screamed back.

"Oh yeah. you shoot him so that the police find us and we can spend the rest of our lives in jail!!!" He exclaimed. He was right, and I realised that would have been a very foolish act from me.

"I'm sorry." I said looking at his direction. He looked at me and sighed before holding onto my hand.

"We'll find a way." He smiled weakly and leaned in to kiss me. At that time we heard a bullet fire and Nathan immediately pushed my head down and ducked himself. The glass from the front broke and crumbled down. More gun fires started coming our way. I grabbed my gun again and noticed Nathan shaking his head.

"Don't" He whispered.

In a second I opened the door to the car and jumped outside. I rose my gun to the air and before the guy could fire, I shot him right in the heart. My aim was perfect and he fell dead to the ground. I walked to his body and got out his ID and wallet from his pockets. Nathan stepped out of the car and gave me a very surprised look.

"What?" I asked walking to him.

"How did you just step out of the car in a second and kill him? It was like the speed of light!" He said with a shocked expression.

"Practice." I replied.

"Let's go Nathan! We need to get to London before they get to us!" I said as I grabbed his hand and we started running to the road. We reached there in a bit of time and now we needed to figure out how to get to London.

We both looked at each other with blank faces.

Being the extremely smart person that I am, I actually put this chapter on another fanfic! The people who read that would have just been like,"what the hell?" anyway! Sorry about that!
