Sweet Pretender - Nathan Sykes Love Story

Chapter 17 - End station

I opened my eyes slowly, preparing myself to see the dreadful sight. But to my surprise, Nathan's eyes stared back at me. I looked towards Danny and saw blood pouring out of his chest and realised what had happened. Danny immediately collapsed onto the ground, dead.

"Drop all your guns!" I heard a voice from behind. I turned around to see Siva and Jay standing there with their guns pointed at the other men. They immediately put their guns down and put their hands up in the air. Jay escorted them outside so it was only me, Siva and Nathan left. Nathan ran up to me again and undid all the tape on my body.

I hugged so tight and cried into his shoulder. I couldn't even imagine losing him although I only knew him for such a short span of time. He lifted my head and pressed his lips against mine. His soft touch sent tingling sensations down my spine.

"I love you so much." I mumbled and cried against his lips.

"Shh." He hugged me as he tried to calm me down. I was really wound up knowing that I was almost about to watch him die. He was the only thing left for me. I had no family, I had no friends. It was just him. He meant everything to me.

"Kiara.. stop crying love." He kissed my cheek, trying to get me to stop. But the fright inside my body was taking a while to die down.

He joined his lips to mine again. It was more passionate this time and I pulled him closer to me. His hands found it's way to my cheek and he slowly rubbed it with his thumb, comforting me even more.

We parted away as we heard Jay come back into the room. I had deliberately ignored Siva because he had hurt me. I was ready to forgive him but not yet.

"I'm sorry Kiara!" Siva began and I looked into his eyes. I knew he was genuine, but I needed answers to why he would go against me.

"I was blinded by Danny, just like you were. But I took a bit longer to realise!" He spoke.

"It's alright." I spoke softly.

"Hug?" He asked sweetly, as he put his arms out. I smiled a little and stepped forward to hug him. His warmth went around me again and I must say that I missed his brotherly hugs.

Immediately Tom and Max ran in.

"Mate! You alright?" They both ran to Nathan together. I watched as they gave him huge hugs. I also think I noticed Max giving him a kiss on the cheek. It was most awkward for me, but I knew that they were close. Tom came up to me and pulled me into a hug as well.

"You alright?" he asked and I nodded. It felt nice to have so many people care about me.

Tom and Max looked at Jay and Siva awkwardly as it was their first time face to face.

"Erm.. this is Tom and Max." I told Jay and Siva whilst pointing to them. They nodded and had a formal shake hand. I was wondering if they would ever become friends. I walked to where Nathan was and he wrapped his arms around my waist as I wrapped mine around his torso. He softly kissed my forehead and I smiled weakly at him.

"What now?" I asked.

"We need to get to the police, to clean up this mess." He said.

I nodded and the other lads walked in front. Nathan took hold of my hand and gave me an assuring look that things from now on will be fine. I smiled at him and we started walking.

It was just the start. A start to a new life that I was hoping to live. I told myself that things were going to be alright from now. I was with someone real, not someone fake. Not someone like Danny. Not a sweet pretender.

We reached Gloucester 2 days later. I was in my house and Nathan was sat on the couch watching some telly. I went into my room and grabbed every paper of my real identity. I grabbed a lighter and slowly burnt them all outside the house. I didn't want to be a 'Chloe Smith' anymore. Because my life was much better as a 'Kiara Fowler'. I watched as the fire ignited, and turned everything into ash. I sighed before heading back inside the house.

I saw Nathan standing inside the room, going over all my contracts and every innocent person I had killed because of Danny.

"I wouldn't have done it if I knew." I told Nathan.

"I know babe. I know." He nodded.

His eyes darted away from me when he noticed his own contract. The guilt rushed back into my veins. But it cooled down when I noticed Nathan smiling at the sheet.

"Twat.." He read out and showed me what I had written over his photo. "You really did hate me, didn't you?" He asked.

"I love you now." I smiled as I wrapped my arms around his neck. He dropped the papers and wrapped his arms around my waist. I looked at his face and a small smile was plastered on it.

"What?" I asked.

"Do you want to live with me?" He asked.

"What?" I whispered, not understanding what he meant.

"Move in with me." He smiled as he pecked my lips. I smiled back and pushed my lips against his, kissing him more passionately.

"I love you Nathan Sykes!" I kissed him again.

Every love story isn't a fairy tale. Nor was mine. But having Nathan by my side was better than having any prince in the world.
