Footsteps echoed through the empty hall. A blonde-haired man walked through the hall while tapping his wooden walking stick on the polished wooden floor. On the top of the walking stick, there was a dragon's head carved in gold. The man appeared to be in his late twenties. He was definitely a man with high birth. The corridor was pitch black; it was difficult to see anything. There were a few lamps hanging on the walls. The dim light moved around as the flames of the lamp danced with the little wind that barely slipped into the corridor when the man opened the door of the corridor earlier. There was a single door at the end of the long hallway.

He was dressed in a brown, expensive-looking suit with gold accents. He was wearing a brown tailcoat with flat-front satin stripe pants. White plain front wing collar dress shirt with gold cuff links. His brown waistcoat fits his slim torso perfectly. A pair of white gloves covered the pale skin of his hands. He had a white bow tie around his neck, and a golden pocket watch with a chain was dangling from his coat. There was a top hat lying on his silky white-blonde hair. The shoes he was wearing were made of expensive white leather. The soles of the shoes hit the wooden floor, continuing to make a tapping sound as he walked.

The young man was handsome. There were no words to describe his handsomeness. His white-blonde hair, shining blue eyes, sharp jaw line, pretty lips, flawless skin, and perfect nose with a perfect bridge looked like they were all carved by some god from heaven. His scar-less, smooth skin showed how much luxury he had enjoyed in his past years of living. It would be more correct if you said that he looked like a porcelain doll.

The man took his walking stick in his left hand and stretched his left hand to grab the golden doorknob. He felt a burst of heat under his palm through his white-clothed gloves. His pink lips curled up into a creepy smile.

He twisted the doorknob, opening it. He got in the room and closed the door behind him. As soon as he went in, his eyes shot up. The room was bleak, cold, and completely dark. It was quiet and somber in there, and he felt a chill as the darkness engulfed him. It was the most piercing darkness ever-it was not merely the darkness that came out of the absence of light; it was much more sinister. The pitch black atmosphere was impenetrable, and he stood rooted to the spot, trying to stretch his eyes as wide as possible, but he could barely make out a feeble outline of some distant object.

His bright blue eyes sent daggers through the darkness of the room. They were truly beautiful. They were the blue-green of the mountain lakes, hues that could tell tales of the sky and evergreen giants all the same. But if someone stared deeper into them, maybe they would find the evilness behind them. His eyes were like those of a shark. Dead inside. Pure evil. His eyes were fire in water, if you can imagine such a thing. They were passion in ice.

Even if it looks like there is no one in that dark room at first glance, a careful observer can find someone breathing in the room. The young man was indeed an observer. The way he looked around a room without panic showed what a patient man he was.

Suddenly, flames ran through the corner of the room it was a small fire that burns strongly and brightly. His eyes lit, and his lips curled in malicious pleasure. "There you are," he whispered. Within milliseconds, the temperature in the room rose. Waves of heat rose from the ground like flames above a roof. It felt like hell, but for the man, it was heaven. The heat was becoming unbearable, but there was something he was wearing that kept him protected from the heat. The sound of heavy chains was heard from the corner of the room. A large figure moved from the side of the room with the speed of a flash. The man's head quickly turned towards the figure. More flame rose up. The good thing was that the whole room was made of huge stone bricks and pillars, so the room wouldn't get burned by the flames and destroyed.

Because of the dim light that had spread throughout the room, some areas of the room were now visible. The man looked down at his shoe. There was a puddle of thick black liquid near his shoe, which he missed by a few inches. When the man lifted his head, he noticed the same black liquid on the walls and the roof. His lips curled up into a smirk again as he stared at the reflection of the dancing flames in the liquid. His smirk held venom just like his eyes did; he looked like a snake bearing out its fangs.
