A week dragged by, each day heavier than the last, and for Y/N, it was nothing short of hell.
Tieran, for reasons she couldn't figure out, watched her like a hawk. His eyes followed her every move-quiet, sharp, always there.
She could feel the weight of his stare even when he wasn't in the room.
Worry began to grow in her chest like a poisonous flower, and every breath she took had to be careful, every step planned. One wrong move, one mistake, and he'd know.
But.
He knew something.
She was sure of it.
Tieran only left the mansion once that whole week. One single trip. But for Y/N, it was enough.

As soon as the main gates closed behind his carriage, she moved through the halls like a ghost, heart racing, hands sweating.
She knew time was short, and the risk-huge.
She pushed open the heavy door to his office, the smell of leather and old books hitting her right away.
It was like stepping into his mind-cold, neat, choking.
She moved fast to the far wall and tapped to the floor trying to find exactly where tieran tapped, and with a soft click, the secret door creaked open.
Y/N froze.
The last time she stood before this room, something not human growled from behind it. She remembered the power of its presence, the way its black drool burned the floor, the three pair of eyes that looked straight into her soul.
But now-nothing.
She stepped inside.
The room was empty.
Not just quiet-empty.
Not a single breath. Not a single sound. Just silence.
Except for the leftovers. The floor still had smears of that thick, black drool, shiny in the low light. It was splattered across the walls like war paint.
A broken chain hung from the center post, snapped like string. The air was thick with something that wasn't quite smoke-but it burned her throat all the same.
The Cerberus was gone.
Y/N's heart pounded in her ears. She backed away slowly, every hair on her body standing up.
It hadn't escaped.
It had been moved.
Or worse... set free.
And Tieran-Tieran had planned this.
He wanted her to find the room like this.
He was playing a game. And he had just made his first move.
Y/N closed the secret door, her hands shaking so hard she could barely get it shut without making noise. Her mind was spinning. The Cerberus was gone. And Tieran... he wasn't just hiding things anymore. It felt like he was in control.
She rushed back to her room, forcing herself to walk, not run. Tieran had assigned guards here and there, which was something new.
The walls felt like they were closing in on her. Every shadow seemed to move, every creak in the floor made her jump. She locked her door and leaned against it, trying to breathe.
What was he planning?
Where did he take the creature?
And most importantly-why did he want her to find out? He definitely wanted her to go into his office, or else why weren't there any guards?
