It starts off with a nineteen-year-old female monster living in a one-bedroom apartment in the city of Monstropolis. That would be you. (Y/N) (L/N). You have just moved out of your parents' home four months ago and you're settled into your apartment. You live by yourself, but the rent's cheap at least. $700 a month. Even for a decent apartment like yours.

You're all aware of the main workplace there. Monsters Incorporated. Where the finest scarers go to scare. Your favorite being Randall Boggs. You admired the reptile monster so much. It didn't matter to you if he were to come in first, second, third or fourth place. You just favored him.

Not just that, but you've also got a big crush on him, as well. You've got an entire scrapbook based off of him. You've looked up the scarers of Monsters Inc and facts about them. You've got facts about Randall in your book. Pictures of him you found online. And so on. You admired him so much that you did that.

In fact, you're about to get job there at Monsters Inc. Mainly to be closer to him and getting to know him up close and personal. You quit your job at a clothes store, recently. You thought the assistant manager was kind of a bitch, anyways.

Amelia Long was her name. She was superficial and stuck up. She was jealous of you because the manager herself Caroline Moore always said that you looked better in outfits. Then again, you'd laugh at the thought of anyone being jealous of you. You didn't see yourself as an attractive monster. You just appreciated that you were told you were slightly prettier than Amelia.

You couldn't wait for tomorrow. That's when you start working at Monsters Inc. You'll get to meet the scarers. The C.E.O. who is Henry J. Waternoose. Sullivan... Randall. You smile at the thought of Randall. He's got a good scare tactic that you know of. He can camouflage himself being the chameleon that he is. And you found him to be hot. You couldn't wait to finally meet him, especially.

Right now, you're in your living room in your apartment. You're studying on a project. Thing is, you're doing both working and online college. You do your online college every day except for Saturdays and Sundays.

When you're working at Monsters Inc, you'll do your online college after work. You got note from the C.E.O. himself that you could bring your laptop with you and do your online college while on break at work. They've got WiFi. You were happy about this.

Right now, you're listening to the song The Last Firstborn by Celldweller. You say, "Nice song." You move your head to it a bit as you do your last fifteen minutes with online college. You've completed and succeeded on all so far. You are one of the smartest ones. Monsters University started doing online college in 2004. It's 2022 now, so they've done it for eighteen years.

As you do online college, you think about the moment you see Randall Boggs and you smile. You finish your project for your online college and you send it. It's on Japanese since you've been studying that.

You've been a fan of the Japanese monster culture for years. Anime. The food. The fashion. The language. The outgoing and enthusiastic commercials. You name it. If given any chance, you'll go to that Harryhausen's place to eat sushi when you can afford it. Or a hibachi place to get tempura or whatever that's more affordable without a reservation.

Your phone suddenly rings and you pause your music. You pick up your phone and you look to see that you're getting a phone call from the Monsters Inc company. You grin and you answer it saying, "Hello?"

You hear a feminine voice saying, "Hello? (Y/N)?" "Yes. This is she." "I wanted to congratulate you on landing a job here at Monsters Inc. I'm Celia Mae. Scare floor supervisor." "Thank you, Celia." "You'll start at noon, tomorrow. Roz wanted to start you off with handing out the keys to the assistants of the scare floor. The keys bring out the doors to be put in their places for the scarers they assist." "That's great. I look forward to this, Miss. Mae." "I'll see you tomorrow, (Y/N)." "You too, Celia. Thanks."
