I couldn't focus during class at all because I kept on thinking about what went was happening in the hallway. In English, the teacher was talking about how Shakespeare has changed history and blah blah blah. It was actually really boring. Mr. Walter was the most boring teacher in the school. I think even the principal would say that.I raised my hand high and asked "Ummm...Mr. Walter, may I please go to the bathroom?" When class got boring,I usually just asked to go to the bathroom to get away from the dullness and if I did stay in the classroom, I would probably get in trouble for snoring.
Someone sitting in the back of the class said " Yeah, so she could go make out with some other girl's boyfriend." The comment made me furious. I heard so many laughs and "ohhs."I felt my face go red out of anger. I turned around and I knew exactly who it was. It was Nick. Nick, the perverted guy who was touching my legs. Nick, the Italian exchange student that nobody liked including me.
"That comment was inappropriate, Mr. Lobello," Mr. Walter says.
" But true" Nick says. If only I had something to throw at him to make him shut up.
"Can you shut up?," I scream at him.
"I was just trying to protect my girlfriend. You betrayed Chrissy and I don't think that was right" he says. Since when were Chrissy and Nick dating. I thought it was a one time thing what I saw in that picture.
" Mr. Lobello, I'm done. If you speak up one more time, your getting a detention,"Mr. Walter says. " Miss Wilson go to the bathroom."
"Thank you," I say with a smile. Nick getting in trouble makes me smile. From the corner of my eye, I could see Nick rolling his eyes.
I get up from my seat and leave to go to the bathroom. I walk inside and I find Chrissy fixing her makeup. She was putting on lipstick and fixing up her eyeliner. She was acting more glamorous than usual. She was wearing way more makeup than she normally does. She was wearing a pink dress and pink heels to match it. I'm pretty sure those heels were the size of a ruler maybe bigger but those heels were tall and those were heels that I couldn't walk in. Why was she even wearing heels to school? It was school. It wasn't some high school party. It was just school and when you went to school, you didn't need heels. I didn't know what to do so I just stood there. As soon as she saw me, she paused what she was doing, rolled her eyes, and then continued. I bit my lip. I have to give her an apology even though I know it won't help. I could at least try. Maybe it will make her feel better.
"I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry. I regret what I did everyday and I would really appreciate it if you forgave me," I say. I should have said more. I felt like that wasn't enough. I should have proved that I really feel sorrow for what I did. She doesn't say anything at all. She doesn't even look at me. I walk towards a stall and before I open it, I hear her say " I would never forgive a bitch like you." That statement made me furious. I felt like repeatedly punching her in the face and I didn't know what stopped me from doing it. Maybe it was because I still saw her as my best friend but she obviously didn't see me as hers.
"You are so nice," I say sarcastically.
" Thank you," she says and then flips her freshly straightened blonde hair. What was wrong with her? I was being sarcastic.
