Amber's first day of school outfit it up there.

"Honey, get up or your going to be late for your first day of school,"my mother yells at me while shaking me repeatedly. I hated waking up early. I wasn't exactly an early bird.

"Mom, just five more minutes," I moan at her.

"No, Amber Jade Wilson. When did you become so lazy?" All summer I stayed in my room on Netflix. My mom always criticized me about it saying that I should go to the beach or something. Now,all those nights staying up until midnight was over and I was very disappointed about it.

"Mom, please let me skip school,"I whine at her. I hated school and I'm pretty sure school hated me. I'm smart and get good grades but I have to work for it but I hate working just like any other ordinary teenager.

"You will go to school and that is final," my mom yells at me. I groan and get out of my bed. I haven't even set out my clothes yet. I examine my closet but unfortunately found nothing. I heard a beep come from my iPhone. I opened and found that it was a text from my best friend Chrissy. We have been best friends since we were in diapers.

Chrissy: Hey girl. Excited for the first day of school?

Me: Nope

Chrissy: Why??

Me: I have nothing to wear. We are probably going to have homework today.

Chrissy: I know how you feel.

Me: I'm so sad summer's over :(

Chrissy: I have to go take a shower.

Me: Okay. I'll meet you at your driveway

I walk into the bathroom and look into the mirror finding that I looked like a zombie. My hair was a complete mess and my eyes were so tired, it made me look dead. Maybe staying up all night watching The Vampire Diaries was a bad idea. I brushed my hair over and over again and then put my hair up in a decent bun. I brushed my teeth and then left the bathroom. I went over to my phone to look at the time. My eyes widened when I saw that it was 7:50. I quickly grabbed a pair of jeans and a sweater that looked as green as a Christmas tree. I put on my black converse and then ran out the door grabbing my backpack before I left. " Bye mom," I yell.

"Have fun, honey," she says sweetly. My mom was crazy. She thought I could actually have fun at school.

"I'll try," I mutter under my breath. I ran out of the house quickly. Right when I ran out was when I realized I didn't have breakfast and then my stomach started to grumble. I ran until I reached Chrissy's house which was right down the street from mine. Chrissy and her mom were already in their car so I open the car door and sit down next to Chrissy. I start to breathe heavily.

" Hi," I say to her mom who was in the driver's seat. Her mom has been our driver for many years.

" Hello Amber Bamber," she says kindly. I hate that nickname. My mother came up with it because I was obsessed with the movie Bambi. I think the name was really stupid but I never told my mother that and if I did it would hurt her feelings.

"You look like you just ran a marathon," Chrissy says with her eyebrows raised and she looked at me in horror.

" I just ran from my house to yours," I say still out of breath. Sweat covered all over my body.

"Your unbelievably crazy."

" Did you see that guy?" Chrissy was boy-obsessed. If she saw a guy that she liked she would do anything to get him.
