Chapter Ten

[Bruce walks into the palace and looks up at the beautiful icy ceiling]

Bruce: Whoa. [he looks around] Joker? It's me, Bruce. [as he goes to walk he slips but steadies himself]

Joker: Bruce? [Bruce looks up and sees Joker up the balcony and is struck by his new look]

Bruce: Wow. Joker, you look different. It's a good different. And this place...it's amazing.

Joker: Thank you. I never knew what I was capable of.

(Elsa: See, ice powers can be amazing!)

Bruce: I'm so sorry about what happened. If I'd have known...

Joker: No, no. It's okay. You don't have to apologize. But you should probably go, please.

(Maddie: But, he literally just got there.)

Bruce: But I just got here.

Joker: You belong down in Arendelle.

Bruce: So do you.

Joker: No, Bruce. I belong here. Alone. Where I can be who I am without hurting anybody.

Bruce: Actually, about that... [suddenly we hear Robin's voice still counting down the minute]

Robin: Fifty-eight...fifty-nine...sixty.

Joker: Wait. What is that? [Robin opens the doors and enters the palace running towards them]

Robin: Hi, I'm Robin and I like warm hugs! [he comes to stand next to Bruce]

Joker: Robin?

Robin: You built me. Remember that?

Joker: And you're alive?

Robin: Um...I think so? [Joker looks down at his hands and smiles]

Bruce: He's just like the one we built as kids.

Joker: Yeah.

Bruce: Joker, we were so close. We can be like that again. [suddenly Joker has a terrifying face when he has a flashback to the day he accidentally had hurt Bruce when they were children]

Young Bruce: Catch me!

Young Joker: Slow down! [holding Bruce in his arms after striking him unconscious with his power] Bruce! [back to present, Joker's face drops]

Joker: No, we can't. [Joker turns to walk away] Goodbye, Bruce.

Bruce: Joker, wait.

Joker: No, I'm just trying to protect you! [Bruce starts climbing the stairs]

(Pippa: Please come back with Bruce. Siblings, should be together.)

Bruce: You don't have to protect me. I'm not afraid! [Joker continues to walk away] Please don't shut me out again. Please don't slam the door. [Bruce starts singing "First Time in Forever, Reprise" as Joker walks away from him] You don't have to keep your distance anymore. [Bruce follows Joker] Cause for the first time in forever, I finally understand. For the first time in forever, we can fix this hand in hand. We can head down this mountain together. You don't have to live in fear. Cause for the first time in forever, I will be right here. [Bruce follows Joker up to his living quarters, Joker turns to him and starts singing]

Joker: Bruce, please go back home. Your life awaits. Go enjoy the sun and open up the gates.

Bruce: Yeah, but...

Joker: I know! You mean well, but leave me be. [Joker turns and walks out onto the balcony with Bruce following him] Yes, I'm alone, but I'm alone and free. Just stay away and you'll be safe from me. [Joker walks back inside]
