Chapter 12

When Goku, Asuma, and the other members of Team 10 returned to the village, they had been gone for a total of two weeks. During their mission, they delivered a scroll to a village close to the border between the Land of Fire and Hot Water. Goku devoted more of his time to better familiarizing himself with team 10, particularly Ino. When they were on their way back, Shikamaru and Choji were making fun of Ino and Sakura's fixation on Sasuke. Choji and Shikamaru both thought it was hilarious. They believed it was a joke of the highest order. That precise moment would grab Goku's attention to this.

Goku: I'd like to know what all the fuss is about with Sasuke. Do not misunderstand; you are free to love whoever you choose. But to pick someone who doesn't even acknowledge your existence is beyond my comprehension. I just don't get it. If he cannot recognize how beautiful you are, Ino, then he has no eyes. You have the ability to develop into a magnificent Konoichi if you put in the effort.

Everyone was stunned by what Goku had just said and left a blushing Ino.

Goku: Ino, are you okay? Your face is red are coming down with a fever. Let me see if you're okay.

Goku would approach Ino, stand in front of her, and gently rest his forehead on top of hers.

Ino: Goku, what are you doing?

Goku: It's okay. I want to check and see if you are doing okay. It seems everything it's okay. There's nothing to worry about. Asuma, Shikamaru, and Chōji, are you guys okay why are you all looking at me funny?

Asuma: No reason. Let's keep moving. We are almost there. How about we get something to eat after we report to the Hokage?

Choji: Yesss! I say get BBQ pork.

Shikamaru: Whatever. I get home and sleep.

Asuma: What about you, Goku?

Goku: Yeah, if you don't mind me joining your team to eat.

Asuma: You're always welcome. Is that right, Ino?

Ino: Huh. Yeah, sure, anytime.

Goku: Is she going to be okay?

Asuma: Eventually, she will. Simply put, she has a lot of things to think over at the moment.

Hokage Tower.

Hokage: I hope everything when okay-any trouble during your trip?

Asuma: No Hokage. During our journey to the Lands of Hot Water, everything went as smoothly as possible, and we did not encounter any problems.

Hokage: Well, you are all dismissed except you, Goku. I need to talk about something before you leave.

Asuma: Goku, if you want to join us, we'll be at the restaurant.
