Chapter 13 - Graduation

Y/N's POV
Today I'm graduating, I decided to graduate a semester early so I can focus on my physical therapy and getting back into soccer. Kai, Gia and Anna are all with me helping me get ready for the ceremony. They chose black dress pants and a white button up long sleeve shirt and black dress shoes. I wore my hair down so I could wear my graduation cap and I put on gold jewelry which consisted of my gold chain necklace, rings and watch. Kai walks up to me with my gown and Gia is holding my cap while Anna has all my adornments my cords and stoles.
I put everything on and turn and look at them.
"Do you have to graduate already?" Anna says frowning.
"I don't want to leave." I say. Gia helps me out my sling back on.
"We will miss you Becca. Don't forget to call us when you're famous so we can hang out." Kai says.
"Y'all are acting like I'm disappearing forever, you're all coming to the ceremony, you my "family" tickets." I say.
"Is Hailee coming?" Gia asks.
"She should be. She said she wanted to see me graduate and walk across stage." I say. They all nodded and went to get dressed. Kai walked out in a grey turtle neck and black dress pants and Gia is in a navy dress and Anna is wearing a beige cream colored dress.
"Okay guys let's get our kid across the stage." Gia says clapping her hands together and I shake my head laughing.

Hailee's POV
I love Nancy but she scheduled this interview at the most inconvenient time ever. I got dressed this morning and rushed to the interview. When I got there they did my hair and makeup. For y/n's graduation I decided on wearing a grey blue suit.
"Okay Hailee, come on stage." The stage manager says. I get up and walk onto the set from behind the curtain and everyone starts cheering. I wave at the crowd and sit down on the chair next to my interviewer today, Katie.
"Good morning beautiful people my name is Katie and I am here with the wonderful Hailee Steinfeld today." Katie says.
"Hi everyone." I say giving a small wave.
"So Hailee I asked some of you fans to give us questions for the interview today." She says and I nod. "To begin Jamie asked are you going to release new music?"
I smiled. "Yes I actually am putting some finishing touches on an album, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, I also worked with my beautiful girlfriend." I say proudly.
"Oh wow y/n can sing?" Katie asks.
"She can, we actually wrote a song together the night we met. She plays a lot of instruments actually but she played the guitar for the song we wrote."
"What a talented young lady." Katie says.
"She very much is." I say smiling.
"On the topic of y/n, how are you guys doing and how long have you been together?"
"Y/n and I are doing great, I fall for her more and more each day. We've been together for almost five months, it'll be five months on December 11th." I say.
"Paige is wondering what you guys did for your four month anniversary, we saw pictures from your three month anniversary which were very cute by the way. Also can you tell us the gifts you gave one another?" Katie says. I purse my lips together tightly not really feeling like disclosing our four month anniversary date.
"Well for our four months y/n decided to plan it since I took charge of our three months. She made me breakfast in bed and then she took me snowboarding and taught me how to snowboard. After that she took me to the log cabin she rented for the night up in the ski resort and cooked me a candle light dinner." I say.
"That so adorable!" Katie says.
"To answer your questions about gifts... I got y/n a gold bracelet with my name on it, she got me a Cartier love necklace. For our four months we kept it more chill so we went on a shopping spree and bought each other stuff." I say.
"You two are perfect for one another." Katie says.
"Okay now I have a question from Sam who is wondering what happened to y/n and my her arm is in a sling." Katie says. I check my watch frantically making sure I won't be late for y/n's graduation before answering the question.
"Um so y/n is a phenomenal soccer player. In the NCAA Championship finals y/n went to go catch the ball and one of the offensive players on the opposing team ran into her causing her to fall in her shoulder and break her collarbone." I say.
"That sounds horrible! How is she doing?" Katie asks.
"She's managing, she's really sad she can't play soccer right now." I say and check my watch again. I have less than twenty minutes.
"If you don't mind me asking is there a reason why you keep checking the time?" Katie asks and I give her a look.
"Y/n is graduating from UCLA today and I intend to keep my promise of being there when she gets her degree." I say almost snapping at the woman.
"Oh that's great, what is y/n majoring in?" Katie asks not really getting the hint that I need to leave.
"She's majoring in Neuroscience." I say calmly.
"She must be super smart." Katie says.
"She is. One of the smartest people I've met." I say checking the time again.
"I have a couple more questions." Katie says and I nod. Next thing I know it's been fifteen minutes and Katie has asked me eight questions.
"Katie I really enjoyed being interviewed by you but I need to go before I am late to my girlfriends graduation." I say getting up.
"That's right I apologize. Thank you for being here Hailee." Katie says.
"No problem thanks for having me." I say quickly walking off stage and waving at the crowd. Once I get off stage I start speed walking out the building and going straight to my car. I see a text from Kai saying the ceremony started. I start speeding towards the UCLA campus. Kai keeps giving me updates. Luckily y/n's last name is later in the alphabet.
