The eyes are empty, she just stares blankly into the light and does not react at all. The variations are endless.

The man with a medical lab coat took off his small flashlight and walked away in front of her and seated back to his office chair.

"Sorry Mrs. Smith, to tell you the truth you have traumatic optic neuropathy " Sabi ng doctor. Na may hawak pa ng mga papel.

" My ghad.. doc!"  Mrs. Smith gasped and started to cry upon hearing the news from the doctor.

She was scared. Her son caressed her back to calm her.

It's been hours since they did a check-up about what happened to Mrs. Smith eyesight. A lot of process and questions that doctor did until he already found out. What's the reason for Mrs. Smith case.

"But doc? Is this connected  to the last accident that my mama had?" His son asked

"Yes. It's one of the most common causes  for loss of vision following head trauma. So what I've just said a while ago, it's traumatic optic neuropathy. This condition involves damage to the optic nerve, which is the nerve that provides the ability to see. Patients with traumatic optic neuropathy can experience sudden vision loss" The doctor explained

"Mas naapektuhan pala talaga ang ulo mo ma.. "  hinihimas niya ang likod nito para kumalma.

The sound of the pop gum got their attention. It's the other son that has been sitting on the other corner sofa.  He just listens after all.

Bulag kana accept it okay?!"

"Permanent na ba to doc?! Oh ano?! Ano? What's the solution of this?? Gusto ko pang gumaling doc!" Pabalang nyang tanong.

" Thank you doc so what's the treatment of this? Let's do it right now? I don't want to be late the next day to my appointment for my skin doc. I have a lot of bruises. Ghosh! I still have a problem with my bruise's pa pala hahaha" Sambit niya nang maymaalala " and the stressed these past days too! Ghad! I need a rest day" maarteng salita ni Mrs. Smith.
