Brunette rushed down the hallway, searching for the princess he had lost. "Forget princess herself; I know it is not my place to judge anyone, but why Princess Lumine likes to get lost quite often? If I do not find her, it is better to see myself a dead man." Brunette thought as his boots beat up the floor, passing many corridors. He finally found her at the garden, sitting at her favorite and secluded spot.

"Ah, Princess Lumine. You frightened me, please do not disappear like that again. Your father worries about you, my majesty." Brunette said as he approached the blonde shiny haired princess. She didn't even turn to face the knight, ignoring his presence. She kept looking at the reflection of her on fountain's water. "Er, princess...?" Brunette said as he stopped next to the princess. She looked up and stared at the knight with dull eyes. "Ah, Zhongli." She said with a non-emotional voice tone.

"Are you alright, my majesty?" Zhongli asked, concern washing his face. "I am... not fine." She whispered. "Is there anything I can help with, my majesty?" Zhongli asked, sitting next to the princess. Princess shook her head, sighing. "No. It is too late for me, I fear. You should escape, my father will know this from you." Lumine said, showing fear in her golden eyes. Zhongli frowned in curiosity. "What do you mean by-" He was going to ask but got interrupted by a flying bow. It passed in front of Zhongli's amber eyes. "I am afraid that you are late, my knight. Run, save yourself." Lumine said with a broken smile.

Zhongli got on his feet, reaching for his sword. "Run inside, my majesty!" Zhongli shouted, getting in front of Lumine. She sighed, not moving an inch. "Why all knights have to be like this?" She mumbled. Then she put a hand on Zhongli's hand, which was holding the sword. "You will not be able to defend me, my honorable knight. It is late for me, he came for me." Lumine said, surrendering washing her face. "What do you mean by 'he'? What do you know, my majesty?" Zhongli said, withdrawing his hand away from Lumine's hand. He cautiously looked around, ready to take action.

"Do you remember the time when a ginger prince came from Snezhnaya..? My father disliked him and found him disgraceful so I did not marry him. He said that he was too cocky and horny for me, that I deserved better..." Lumine said, her voice cracking. "My majesty, if you could speak any faster it will help so much. I will be able to understand the situation." Zhongli said, his amber eyes slipping to the worried princess. "He is after me! He promised that a week later he would come for me, he did!" Lumine blurted out at last.

Zhongli's amber eyes narrowed, focusing in the surroundings again. "Run inside, my majesty." Zhongli said with a cold voice. He had not taken that voice for years. It was an urgent situation, he didn't have time to care about the fact that he had used that voice to a princess. Princess froze, shocked by the sudden voice tone change. His voice was always soothing, honey like and warm not cold. She stood up and ran inside, trusting him. If someone was going to stop Prince Tartaglia, who has mastered all the weapon except bow, it was Zhongli. He had to stopped him, if he can't then the princess was doomed. No door nor any knights would have been able to stop the wave of terror.

Zhongli used to use polearm, at the times when he was known as the god of war. But he stopped using violence as an answer but using it as a defense. So he left his polearm and his past behind. He watched as empires rise and became a guard. If he failed at protecting, then he was useless.

He blocked the second arrow that came whistling. A laugh was audible. "Ah, it had been years since someone actually blocked my arrows! Which I did not really master bow but that is beside the point. My my, knight! I have heard of you, Zhongli. How well trained you were, I was waiting for this day. The day I defeat the glorious Zhongli and get my lovely princess, Lumine." The voice said, as it got closer. Now a ginger haired figure was by the bushes, a few feets away from Zhongli.
