Christmas Proposal - Byler Story

Will and Mike were in Mikes car heading to Hawkins for Christmas. Will was staying in his old house and Mike was staying in his old house but Christmas would be celebrated at the Wheelers Residence.

"Mike you'll be fine we've been doing this every year since our freshman year of collage." Will stated kinda be annoyed.

"And I hate it every time."

"I'll see you tomorrow morning." Will rolled his eyes.

"But it won't be the same. I won't wake up with you right next to me."

"Your adorable Wheeler." When Will Said that Mike smiled. "But your also annoying." Mikes smiled disappeared.

"Rude." Mike rolled his eyes playfully. "I could say the same to you."

"At least I'm aware of the fact that I'm annoying."

"I'm aware of the fact that you're annoying to love." Mike laughed then turned music on.

Mike dropped Will off at the Byers residence and he just got to his stop. He got out of the car, turning off the music then he walked up to the front door. He only had to knock twice before the door swung open showing Mikes younger sister, Holly who is 15 years old.

"Hi Mike!" She smiled.

"Hey. Is mom or dad home?" Mike questioned.

"No they are at work. But Nancy is already here!" She said excitedly. She grabbed Mikes arm and dragged Mike into the living room.

"Did you guys re-paint the walls in here?" Mike said as they entered the living room.

"Yeah. Mom hired someone to re-paint them back in September." Holly sighed.

"So how's school going?" Mike asked Holly as he sat down on the couch.

"Good. How are you and Will?" Holly asked.

"Good." Mike smiled at the thought of Will.

Mike was eating dinner with his family currently.

"So Mike... How are you and Will?" Ted, Mikes dad wondered.

"We're good." Mike stated quickly.

"That's good!" Karen, Mikes mom said.

"Yeah." Mike sighed.

I'm so sorry for so many time skips it's Christmas Eve and I want to finish the Christmas part today.

December 21st 1995, 8:05 am.

Mike, Will and Joyce were in the kitchen talking about Mikes books.

"I'll be right back I have to use the restroom." Will said, leaving the kitchen. Mike took this as the perfect opportunity to ask Joyce the question.

"Mrs. Byers?" Mike asked.

"Yes Mike? Also you know you can call me Joyce." She softly smiled.

"Right... sorry Joyce. Anyways I was wondering if I could maybe-..." Mike pause for a second. "Purpose to Will?"

Joyce smiled. "Of course!" She replied. She put out her hands to give Mike a hug.

Mike hugged Joyce.

"When are you proposing?" Joyce asked as she broke the hug.

"Christmas." Mike started. "I have it all planned out."

"Just know if you hurt Will I will not hesitate to hunt you down and kill you." Joyce half joked.

"I would never purposely hurt Will." Mike said.

"I know you wouldn't but I'm just letting you know." Joyce smiled.

I know this chapter is shorter but I would like to say a few things

Karen and Ted are divorced, Karen is a lesbian and married to a women named Wanda.

Joyce is married to Hopper.

Robin dates Vickie for a while but they broke up and Robin is dating Nancy now (I ship Rockie and Jancy more than Ronance but I know none of my fan fic that I ever write will have Ronance and I like Ronance so I took the chance to include Ronance into this fanfic)
