Chapter 8

Christmas special

"Enola?" I heard a voice calling me.

"Yes Tewksbury?" I responded leaning my head toward the door.

Currently I was seating in the couch of our new home watching 'Home alone', my favorite Christmas movie.

Finally being 21, me and Tewksbury decided to move in together and since Christmas was near, his parents decided to gift us a house so we can have a lot of space. His family have been nothing but nice to me. I learned to love them like my own

You know what's the best part? Y/n and Sherlock are currently staying in a house very near ours.

"Can you come and help me carry the Christmas tree?"

I jumped up from excitement. He finally got the Christmas tree! Leaning against the wall were in total 10 bags of decorations for our Christmas tree.

Grabbing it from his hands, I ran and placed in in the living room. As time passed it seemed like he had admitted to himself that I was just stronger than him, but as he said "he'll always be the smartest." Sure.

The windows of our home were foggy so we couldn't quite see the town. From time to time with my sleeve I could clean one of them to see what was going on down on the street. Nonetheless the red, green and gold lights were shining bright and from time to time fireworks would pop up.

Personally I love fireworks. I still remember the first time when my mom took me to town to see them

Knock knock

"I'll set up the tree and you answer the door." Said Tewksbury already looking at the instructions.

Opening the door, I saw Y/n and Sherlock with a lot of gift bags in their hands. They were wearing those ugly-cute Christmas sweatshirts. In my opinion they are quite adorable.

"Come in you two!"

Y/n had a big smile in her face as she hugged me tight.

"The first Christmas we'll spend together!"

Dhe then turned around and saw Tewksbury .

"Sherlock , you help Tewksbury with setting up the tree, while me and Enola will cook." She said to her boyfriend. "Then we'll decorate it all together, okay?"

Going to my kitchen she opened the fridge door looking carefully at every Ingredient.

"So how's moving in the new house going?"

I leaned against the counter and shrugged.

"Well pretty well until now I guess. Moving the packages and going shopping for furnitures is such a pain tho. Like it's so hard to find matching things."

Y/n chuckled.

"Well me and Sherlock have yet to decorate most of the rooms so tell me about it. Everything seems so weird....finishing school, finishing college, moving out of our parents' home and overall almost our entire life changing."

I closed my eyes and smiled.

"Yeah everything is changing but I'm kinda loving it."
