Third pov
"Meet me Royal Academy five tonight Mother." Well, that's unexpected thought Enola putting the news paper on her bag. She just unraveled a code that her mother had made just for her.
"Thank you."
There are three thoughts that immediately occurred her.
One is that her Mother wouldn't have signed "Mother," but "Chrysanthemum." And two, the Royal Academy is an institution that has consistently neglected to include women.
Her Mother wouldn't have suggested it as a meeting place.
And her final thought is that she might have revealed her hand in front of her brother when checking the newspaper.
This was Sherlock Holmes's doing. It needed to be.
And yet, facts don't distract from hope.
"I'll pay you five pounds to swap clothes with me."
...
"Anything?" Sherlock asked his brother looking for signs of their sister .
"Nothing at all. She beat you once before, little brother, and now she may have done so again."
"Oh, I do believe she thought it me, but I also believe that she'd be too intrigued not to be here all the same."
"Unfortunately, you were wrong." Mycroft chucked.
But was he?
"It's possible. Nevertheless, if we do find her again, I'd like her to be my ward. I'll take care of her."
"Well..on your head be it.I washed my hands of her."
"Very well. All the better."
"You are a strange fish, little brother."
"And you're a t*nk one, older brother."
"I assume you're being so delightful because of the vote?"
"Passed by one. That reemerging little toadstool, the Marquess of Tewkesbury, and his vote proved decisive. Now, much as I enjoy standing outside the Royal Academy..."
"He's an interesting character, you know?"
"Hmm?"
"And I suspect he's rather keen on young Enola."
"Then he should marry her."
"Maybe it'll tame them both."
"Now that I remember younger brother" Mycroft said turning to Sherlock. "You were seen with a young lady at a party....what was her name,"
"It doesn't matter." Sherlock quickly interrupted. "She asked for my help and I felt bad for her. She's no one. I even beat we won't meet again."
"You can never know. I advise you to be careful when it comes to dating. But maybe having someone else in your life wouldn't be that bad. As long as she doesn't distract you from your work that is."
"I'm not interested."
...
"Good afternoon, Enola."
"Good afternoon."
"You've got a visitor."
Enola inhaled deeply before entering her room.
"This is a surprisingly nice room. I like the finishing touches."
Her breathing became heavier and heavier.
"I can't stay long. People might be watching."
"Mother..."

1st pov: Y/no
I picked up my book and started reading. I always dreamed for a romance story- one just like in the books. Oh only if things could be that easy.
In books everything works out in the end, but how can I be sure that everything will work out for me too? I wanna feel the feeling of falling in love. I want to smile like an idiot and love somebody more than everything. I want to have someone to call mine. I guess I'll just grow and die alone.Sigh. I dropped my book to the table nearby and rested my head in the pillow. I didn't feel like reading. Ever since I came home everything had been boring and more boring. Lucky Enola and Sherlock who can be free.
Knock knock.
"Come in!" I said, now sitting in my bed instead of laying in it.
It was mother.
"My dear old friend had invited us to her yearly spring ball." She said smiling. "You know? The one you loved to go to when you were younger."
She seated besides my legs and touched my hand.
"Maybe....there you'll find a man for yourself."I sighed.
"Mom! We have discussed this countless times and I have told you I'm not interested in any of them!"
She frowned at me.
"You have to get married soon you know? You need a man to provide for your needs."
"I don't need a man and I neither want one. I can provide for myself just fine."
...
Putting the final touches on my make up, I stared in the mirror. My midnight blue dress fell down to the ground. My lips were cherry red and my hair was is a low bun. I did look elegant. A small smile escaped my lips.
"Okay, I'm ready!"
At least I hope so.
While waking downstairs a voice stopped me.
"Deciding to dress like a lady finally?"
"Tewks!" I said excited. "Oh where are my manners?" I said rolling my eyes and jokingly bowing, Tewksbury imitating my actions soon after.
"Lovely to see you here, Lord Tewksbury. Very glad you were able to join us tonight."
We both started laughing.
...
There were people. A lot of them. Breath in. Breath out. Now go! I started waking toward the crowd. There were men talking- for business I suppose and girls twirling with their pretty dresses.
My mom tired to introduce me to a few man but only one caught my attention, not the mom would prefer for me...
"I believe you owe me a dance, lady Y/n."
