He waved before diving down and swimming away. Tsireya shook her head once more before turning to us. "Lo'ak your breathing seems okay, and so does everyone else's. Tomorrow we will do the last test to see your skills, maybe we all can do something fun if you'd like?" Tsireya asked. Tuk agreed within seconds by her huge smile and jumping up, I always go with Tuk and Kiri shrugged so we both agreed. Lo'ak wanted to go just because of Tsireya.
"I'm good, I'm gonna stay in the village or go talk to dad and mom." Neteyam stood up stretching. "Lame." I smirked and he just stuck his tongue at me. "Okay then. Follow me I have a beautiful little hide out in the woods behind our village I'd like to show you." She jumped up and jumped in swimming away, we all turned and Lo'ak followed quickly and so did we while Neteyam parted.
Tsireya turned and smiled grabbing Lo'aks hand, me and Kiri looked at each other and giggled. We sped walked far off and out the village their forest was very pretty basically the same as ours but it looked like it had small beaches inside the woods. Tsireya gestured her hand for us to catch up, following a rock patch through a small pond she let us in between some trees with a small hut built from branches and leaves.
"Wow! It's so pretty here!" "It is." Lo'ak said softly, staring at Tsireya. I stuck my tongue out in a 'gross' way. "I made this place a long bit ago when I was younger. I come here to think or just get away. It is my healing place, and I'm allowing you all to use it that way too. Or however or whenever you need. She smiled widely placing her hand over her heart.
"Guys wanna play!" Tuk cheered until she jumped. Everyone's ears shot up as the horn blow. Our heads all look at one another ears dropping. "What could that be.." Kiri said. We all ran out, glancing at the shore there was no one new or any danger but everyone crowded around an ilu. "Where is Aonung!?" Ronal cried.
We came to the shore seeing Ronal yelling in the distance of the sea as Aonung's ilu swam around its own pool of blood. "Care to the ilu we do a search party at once!" Tonowari hissed. "Father!" Tsireya looked at him with big eyes of worry. He gulped and cupped her cheek smiling. "Stay daughter we will find Aonung." He ran off with his spear and other Metkayina adults all diving onto their tsuraks.
"What could have happened to him.." Tuk whispered, Kiri bent down and hugged her. She looked at me with worry and my only reaction was my ears dropping. I turned to see Tsireya crying as Lo'ak held her for comfort. I sighed deeply before hollering.
"What are you doing?" Kiri stood up. Raani came roaring down landing next to me she echoed. "I want to help find him." I said softly looking at Tsireya. "And why's that? You no way." I glared at Lo'ak as he smirked, Tsireya looking at us both confused and worried. "No my father and the other men will find him, I won't allow you to put yourself in danger." She grabbed my hands and held them tight. "You've done so much for us Tsireya you were kind to us all, your brother may be a bit of a troublemaker but- But besides I could find him before them in the air then they could by sea. I will be back I promise."
I smiled at them all and got on Raani mending our bond as she slightly hissed. They backed up before I took off, going father into the distance. I looked down seeing how I passed Tonowari and the men.
As I flew further out I decided to call for him. "Aonung! Oh Aonung are you out here." I pleaded with embarrassment. I don't know why I was anxious, I volunteered to help anyway so why do I feel weird. I moved down causing for Raani to dive as we were a foot above the surface of sea. I called and called for Aonung but nothing, looking at every rock and hill just in case. "Stop Raani, shush." I patted her forcing her to stay in place as my ears lifted for sound. "Aonung?" I called.
"What?" I turned quickly at the sound of a whistle. Hearing it weakly I kept turning for its direction. "Aonung if that's you keep whistling I'm coming!" I followed the weak whistle, knowing I got closer as I heard coughs. I gasped the second I saw Aonung covered in blood on a rock. The rock was thankfully wide and big enough for Raani to land, I jumped off and ran to him grabbing him up and on my lap. I viewed his body to see many cuts on his arm and a long mark along his stomach.
"Oh Eywa, what happened Aonung." I caressed his wounds but jerked them back when he whinced. "Sorry!" He coughed more and looked me in the eyes. "You...you came l-looking for me..?" He said slowly, his eyes unable to stay open long he passed out. I checked his chest in case, thank Eywa I heard his heart beat still, but it was slow. "Oh Aonung hold on I'll get you home." I reassured.
I tried my best gently to place him on Raani, he was quite heavy. Not in a bad way. I placed him in front of me he dropped down and I held him back. I placed my free arm around his chest to hold him safely against me. Bonding to Raani she flapped off into the sky, as she flew more and more Aonung hissed. "Are you okay!?" I asked. His head lifted up and moved back brushing against my face, I moved side to side causing Raani to move side to side.
"Aonung sorry but- I need to see to get us back!" I hissed softly. He turned his head slowly looking at me and moving his head down low, still holding eye contact. His eyes moved from my face to my hand in his chest. "Why- why are you touching me. Hm?" He weakly smirked. His body going from consciousness to unconscious. I grinned at the fact he was able to be sarcastic and 'flirty?' In a time like this. I shook my head and continued on.
When I saw the village in the distance appear more I gently moved Aonung down with my body to allow us to dive closer to the ground before landing. He jerked and turned to me. "Your- your touching my back.." he said slowly before going unconscious. I gulped before we made it closer to the sand. Hearing the horn blow loud I saw Tsireya, Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk run over first before the rest of the clan members.
"Oh by Eywa he is alive!" Tsireya shouted happily. I struggled lifting his body down so the rest helped grab him. "Aonung!" Ronal came over and grabbed him, her ears pinned back. Her face gave off 'I am so pissed at you, but worried to death' I got down from Raani patted her quickly and she took off. Tuk ran up and squeezed my lower body for how short she was compared to me. I patted her back and she smiled wildly at me.
"Thank Eywa!" Ronal cried before looking at me. "Thank you." A tear fell as she stared at me. I nodded and she stood up carrying him in her hands walking him to their pod. Everyone turned as a man's voice was heard. "Aonung!" Tonowari yelled as he quickly ran through the water off his beast over to Ronal, both rushing back to their pod. I sighed.
I jumped as Tsireya ran to me, embracing me into a tight hug. "Thank you Liyanin! Thank you!" She smiled. I smiled back. "It was no big deal. It was my pleasure to help." I looked over, meeting Lo'aks stare almost as if he was jealous. He noticed and we stared before he quickly turned away, I just smirked as me and Tsireya parted. "I will see you all tomorrow, I must see my brother!" She yelled as we watched her sprint off towards her home. "Tell us how you found him! Where'd you find him!?" Tuk tugged on my hand side to side. "Tuk." Kiri sighed rolling her eyes.
"Come. I am tired from having to do that rescue. So let's get to bed and talk about this tomorrow." I took a long deep breathe walking towards our pod. Quickly glancing from Aonung's families pod and to the sun that was disappearing.
