I hissed holding a tight grip on my spear. I was pissed very pissed at the news I've just received, no amount of words could possibly explain, but I held my cool not trying to act out. My eyes then traveled around brighting at the people with hope soon my gaze meeting with Liyanin.

She gave a worried look, her ears lowered and all, the only response towards her was my ears dropping themselves as well. "The sky people have killed my spirit sister and her baby!" Mother screamed, her voice almost shaking with sadness making me think of my brother.

"No no if you attack the sky people they will destroy everything you ever love! This will only make things worse!" "You live amount us and you have learned nothing!" Mom hissed towards Jake cutting him off. Dad soon joined the cheers raising his spear high with a hiss. "Dammit!" Jake grabbed a sharp red tool that beeped, holding it high for all to see until he spoke, "You must tell your Tulkuns if they get hit by one of these their marked for death, no war needs to happen, the important thing is about keeping the ones you live safe. Right?" He spoke low only gazing at mother.

Her pride was greater then this along with fathers, although I hate to say it war at this time could and would only make matters worse but it still hurt not to fight for your loved ones. Mother swallowed slowly looking up at dad with a slow nod. "Go.. go- warn the Tulkuns!" Mom and dad sternly motioned off the people. As the people left in a hurry jumping into the water I quickly turned to Liyanin, our eyes meeting. We stared for what seemed like eclipses, neither of us made a move, unable to do or say anything in a moment as this one.

When I tried to move closer to her my father grabbed me without a word dragging me away. "Father!?" I gasped surprised. He took me back to the pod and shoved me in pointing at me with a stern finger and a nasty expression, "My boy stay here and I mean it, do not think about going to see that girl at a time like this." He spoke with only his fangs almost in a threatening way.

A time like this was weird to try and reunite but it was also the best as sad and painful moment has just occurred. I hesitated building up the courage to just run straight past my father to Liyanins pod and I did. I waited as he turned facing some the the villagers and I was off. "Aonung!" My father called out and I kept running, moving through the worried villagers only by inches almost hitting them.

"Liyanin!" I yelled making it towards their pod. No one was here yet, should have known. "He's my brother I'm going!" My ears raised at shouting voices and I turned to see Lo'ak and Neteyam. I went to walk towards them but turned as Tsireya screamed for me, Liyanin, Kiri and Tuk following. I smiled wildly showing all my sharp teeth quickly embracing with Liyanin.

"Lo'ak!" Tsireya ran up to them and Lo'ak jumped away and on to his ilu. "Cmon he's going to warn Payakan!" He clapped his hands making throat clicks calling his ilu and we all did the same. I stopped Liyanin from getting on hers and mentioned her to join with me on my tsurak, and she does.

We all rush through the water and dove through waves hurrying to catch up with Lo'ak. Soon in the distance Payakan rises up to the surface and Lo'ak jumps onto him messing with something. We all jump on as well and my face drops as I realize what it is, that tool that Jake showed us before, if their hit their marked for death. We all hurriedly try pulling it out but it's to deep into his skin. Neteyam grabbed Lo'ak and pushed him away, "Call dad, call him!" "Pull harder!" Tsireya egged on, while Lo'ak talked in the back to Jake. We all grunt and struggle using all our strength to pull until I get an idea.

"Here dude use this rope and wrap it around your ilu!" I shout to Aonung and he nods quickly swimming back to his ilu wrapping around the rope, and I do the same to the device. "It's getting closer, pull!" Neteyam shouts, we all listen and even use our legs to push it out, our grunts mix in with Neteyams poor ilu struggling and splashing water everywhere. With a gasp we fell forward into the water, it was out. "Kiri it's out it's out!" I hear Tuk shout. "Go- go I'll get rid of this!" Neteyam grabbed the device and dove down,
we hopped on ours diving away to hide.
