Dinner

My mother's eyes widened and she let out a very loud gasp before fainting onto my father, my dad's eyes changed to those of his wolf's, Axton buried his head in my neck and whimpered away from the kings wrath and Valentina screeched from her spot next to Robin in the doorway.

¨With twins,¨ I said sheepishly and everybody went silent. My mother had come too and now looked like she would be violently ill, my father's expression surprised me, he had tears of joy in his eyes, Valentina was violently growling while Robin was barely able to contain her because he was laughing so hard.

¨I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET PREGNANT YOU BITCH!!!¨ She hissed and I raised my eyebrows at her. She needed to calm the hell down.

¨Yeah, that is not going to happen Val. I AM GOING TO BE AN UNCLE!¨ Robin shouted and I started laughing with him.

¨Well, Axton and I are going to call our pack and wait for them while you process.¨ I said hastily and yanked Axton behind me through the door on the opposite side of the room, away from my brother and the dog from hell.

¨I think that went rather well.¨ Axton grinned cheekily and leaned down to kiss my cheek. I put a hand on his chest to stop him and sent him a look as he grinned.

¨Yeah, you didn't do anything so hush. You were acting like they would rip your head off then and there. I already sent Marie notice and they are on their way.¨ I allowed him to put his hand on my belly as we walked behind the servant who said she knew where our room was.

~~~ 3 Hours Later ~~~

We are here, some big bad wolves are trying to stop us. They claim the princess is dead. Marie linked me with her voice laced with amusement.

Be there in a few minutes, I sent back after finding their location in her head. Axton and I shifted and ran to the border where I ran into the elite guards of guards with their pale grey coats and dark blue eyes. They all grovelled on their bellies when Axton and I walked up.

Marie was too pregnant to shift so she rode in on Jordan, the largest male aside from Axton. Hannah was still delirious and not fully healed so she rode on Axel with Reese. Both men looked exhausted so Marie as transferred to Axton and I had Hannah and Reese. The vampires had run here and Joseph was a runner in high school so he was just a bit tired.

¨Swanky place you got here Little Red¨ Joseph joked once we were all inside. Castiel and Meg were going nuts running around and jumping on peoples legs, their first big run and excited them.

¨Ï know right?¨I squealed sarcastically before turning to my parents to introduce everybody. ¨ Everybody, this is Elric and Katrina, King and Queen as well as my parents. Parents, this is my alpha Marie, my little sister Reese, my friend Joseph, Axton's parents Igor and Esmerelda and his little sister Alicia. These are my pack members, Matthias, Melody, Hannah, Lauren, Jordan, Courtney and her mate Axel, Raina and her mate Lucas, Xenith and his mate Marianna.¨ Ipointed to everybody individually as I said their names.

¨Its a pleasure to meet you all. Thank you all for being so kind to our daughter.¨ My father's smile seemed to light up the room as he shook hands with Marie, Igor and Esmerelda.

I had tried to ignore the soft growling coming from Robin every since my pack had come inside but now everybody was getting settled in and I decided to see what was up. Valentina was blatantly staking her claim on him by kissing his neck while his eyes had shifted and were locked onto Melody who was trying very hard to hold back tears while not looking at him. They were mates!

¨Melody!¨ I quickly shouted, probably too loudly since everybody looked at me. ¨Come here please,¨ I said and told Axton to stay there.

¨Yes Luna?¨ She asked me quietly as she kept her head down from looking at Robin and the leech attached to him.

¨You little missy call me Dove and why the hell don't you go jump my brother? ¨ I asked in all seriousness. Her head shot up and her eyes were wide. ¨You know, black hair, green eyes, witch hanging onto his arm, standing next to my parents? Your mate?¨ She growled when I mentioned Valentina. ¨His name is Robin.¨

¨How did you know?¨ She whispered as a tear slid down her cheek.

¨There is no reason to cry sweetie. He hasn't marked or mated Valentina. She is just into his because he is royalty but he is too nice of a guy to break up with her. I will help y'all get together, I promise.¨ I pulled her into a hug as she cried and thanked me profusely.

She winked at Robin after I cleaned her up we came back to join the group. Robin purred a little bit when she did it and Valentina, with her back to us, thought it was her doing and continued to lick his chin the grossest way before he turned away and disappeared in a doorway.

¨Why doesn't everybody go get cleaned up and then we can all have dinner at 7?¨ My mother smiled with the practiced grace of a hostess. Everybody was led down the same hallway where our room was and told to pick a room. Mates shared, Esmerelda and Igor shared, Alicia and Joseph shared while Reese was super pumped about having her own room.

An hour and a half later everybody was changed and showered, I noticed the males had re-marked their mates and rolled their eyes at the possessiveness. We all sat down and I made sure that Melody sat across from Robin with the unmated Matthias by her side to make Robin jealous. I also chose her outfit, a plain black v-neck and pale blue skinny jeans.

¨Sorry if this is a touchy subject, but how exactly was Dove lost?¨Marianna quietly asked as the main course arrived, steak with garlic potatoes.

¨It's okay now that she is back with us. Actually only us and the guards you have met know you are still alive but they know not to tell anybody. I had left Dove with her nanny while her father and I went away for a few days, she was barely a year old.¨ My mother got a bit teary and the king squeezed her hand and she calmed down. ¨ 20 of our guards died that day and her nanny should have but she recovered, she is our top warrior now with her mate. They didn't touch Robin even though he was just a room away, they only took Dove since she was born first.¨

¨Do you know who did it?¨ Axton clenched his teeth with the question.

¨No, but Dove's nanny says she will never forget his face.¨ The king said angrily. ¨Actually, she would love to come see you're here. She lives outside of the castle so it will take her a few minutes to get here. Would you like to meet her?¨

¨Sure, I would love too! Now, how many unmated males did you say there were in this pack?¨ I wanted to make Robin jealous, seemed to always work even though every male at the table excluding my father and Igor wrapped their arms around their girl.

¨About 43, hopefully some of you ladies will find your other halves here.¨ The king winked at Melody and Robin let out a growl that was noticed by everybody this time. ¨What is wrong with you son?¨

  Matthias put your arm around Melody. Don't question me just do it, I linked him and he did it which caused Robin to snarl and stand up angrily and claim Melody with the single word, mine.

Three things happened at once, Valentina launched herself over the table to attack Melody, gasps were heard from everybody but me and the doors to the dining hall burst open to reveal a lithe woman with short ginger hair with a gun strapped to her belt.
