What A Day, Skarloey!

It was a snowy Christmas Eve on Sodor, the rails were super slippery that the Prime Minister had forced railways to make engines plow the rails and put down sand on the rails or they may not run their operations. As well as declaring a national emergency.

Mr. Percival arrived in Crovan's Gate that morning to make up his mind on who to make plow the rails and lay down the sand, it had to be done quick for the railway to be run on time, otherwise, passengers and cargo would be delayed.

"Morning Mr. Percival" Freddie said.

"Morning all, I have decided that Freddie, Peter Sam and Skarloey will be our sanding and plowing engines, I assume all your drivers and firemen have already alerted you guys of the emergency declared by the Prime Minister." Mr. Percival announced.

"Have fun you three, also sir, does this mean I have to do any work as they will be plowing?" Duke asked.

"We have construction workers heading for Glennock in an hour so you'll have to do that since Freddie will be busy" Mr. Percival said.

Duke whistled.

Skarloey, Peter Sam and Freddie then puffed off with their snowploughs and sand boxes filled up to the brim, right as they were leaving,

"Hey Skarloey, I bet your old wheels won't clear as much snow as me!" Peter Sam shouted.

"Sure I won't" Skarloey mumbled.

Skarloey puffed up the line and sanded the rails and plowed the snow and heard kids screaming out their windows,

"GO SKARLOEY, GO!"

However, on another line, Freddie ran into a truck filled with barrels of apple cider and it sprayed all over the rails and some apple cider landed in Freddie's funnel and had to stop ploughing and laying sand down to make sure everything was alright.

Skarloey pulled into a siding as snow started coming down faster.

"Skarloey, we might have to go back to Crovan's Gate, the snow is getting too thick and crazy, same with the breeze" Skarloey's Driver commented as the wind got so bad that he just got covered by snow and fell down, though he was able to uncover his upper body but his legs were stuck in the snow,

"I think I just sprained my ankle"

Just as he said that, Peter Sam ploughed through from the other end of the line and stopped.

"Why hello there, Skarloey, I see you are in quite a predicament" Peter Sam laughed.

Peter Sam's fireman and driver rushed over with Skarloey's fireman to help tug him out of the snow.

"Well I obviously know you didn't plough as much as me" Peter Sam boasted.

"Sure I didn't but I did do my job" Skarloey murmured.

Skarloey's fireman and driver got into her cab and Peter Sam coupled up to Skarloey.

"Looks like your getting a tow home" Peter Sam giggled.

As Skarloey was being pulled by Peter Sam back to the sheds, she had a thought in her head that she was still proud to be Skarloey, even if she couldn't and didn't do much work, she had learned one lesson that it does not matter what other people think or feel about you which Peter Sam clearly didn't know.

Just then, they arrived at the sheds,

"What happened to you?" Rusty asked, staring at Skarloey's backside.

"Driver broke his ankle while he got out my cab so I was stranded and Peter Sam came out of no where, clearing the tracks and I was lucky enough to be saved, and yes, he did more work than me" Skarloey admitted.

Just then, Mr. Percival arrived and got out of a pickup truck which he begged to borrow from his cousin.

"Freddie has been halted meaning some parts of the railway is not clear meaning Duke might run into trouble meaning I'm going to need Rusty to help clear the tracks, Skarloey, why are you being pulled by Peter Sam?" Mr. Percival wondered.

"My driver broke his ankle" Skarloey answered.

"Peter Sam, take Skarloey and his driver to Crovan's Gates to be transported to the hospital, I'll send an assistant driver there as well." Mr. Percival ordered.

Peter Sam whistled and puffed away, Rusty rolled away to clear the tracks. When Peter Sam and Skarloey arrived, Skarloey's assistant driver got in her cab and Skarloey's driver was put on a stretcher and put in an ambulance, being taken to the Crovan's Gates hospital.

Just then at the station, Murdoch, Arry and Bert arrived with trucks filled to the top of christmas gifts.

"SERIOUSLY?!" Peter Sam screamed.

"Looks like I can do more work than you" Skarloey laughed and Peter Sam responded by just staring in shock at the trucks.

"Unlike Bert" Arry said.

"I hope you run out of fuel, fool" Bert responded.

"What A Day, Skarloey" Skarloey's driver giggled.
