Return of Legends

    It was a sunny day on Sodor, Thomas, Annie and Clarabel, The Sodor Construction Crew, Duck, Henry and Edward were all sent with trucks filled of equipment, tools and many other things to help rebuild a harbor on the Kirk Ronan Branchline.

As they arrived at the old harbor, they looked at everything that was left there, old parts and many, many, old sheds, there was even abandoned houses near the site but the government was planning to make the Kirk Ronan Branchline a prosperous part of the Sodor economy. "Let's get to work by unloading the supplies on the flatbeds and trucks, Workmen and Kelly prepare to put down the new tracks and sidings" Miss Jenny said.

"Edward, I hope you are up for a huge surprise later today" Sir Topham Hatt said as he got out of Annie.

Edward was confused and stared down at the old narrow gauge tracks as they started to take up those old tracks.

"What do you think that surprise will be, darling?" Clarabel asked.

"Maybe I'll be working here?" Edward rsponded.

"The Brendam Branchline will be awful without you, Afterall, it is your branchline" Annie said.

Soon enough, more construction workers and companies arrived, it was going to be a huge project from the looks of it. Henry then left to go get more supplies, mainly rails to put down.

Sir Topham Hatt and Miss Jenny was going through one of the sheds and all of a sudden, the door fell off right as Miss Jenny touched it.

"Neil?" Sir Topham Hatt said.

"You came back for me?" Neil asked.

"I'm Sir Betram Topham Hatt, not the first which met you back on the Sodor and Mainland Railway, though, I do not think he was the one who was meant to come back for you, but we are rebuilding this harbor, how would you like if you worked here on this line and get repaired?" Sir Topham Hatt asked.

"Indeed, he wasn't, I forget his name but someone was supposed to come get me and I'd love that, how much years has it been?" Neil responded as rats ran out the shed.

Thomas was then coupled up to Neil and pulled him out of the shed though slowly and then Edward went to get Rocky and a flatbed.

"You're new, who are you?" Neil wondered.

"I'm Thomas, nice to meet you Neil" Thomas replied.

"It's sad that I was the only engine of my kind on Sodor that survived the shutdown of the Sodor and Mainland Railway, I don't know what happened to that little red engine though" Neil said.

Thomas then thought of Skarloey and Rheneas when he heard Neil said a little red engine. "Was this little red engine, narrow gauge by any chance?" Thomas asked.

"Indeed, it was and I think it's name started with an S, if my memory serves right" Neil responded.

Just as Neil finished his sentence, Thomas heard a diesel pull into the yard and Clarabel gasped. "Is that who I think it is?!" Clarabel said in an excited tone.

"Yes it is" The green diesel engine replied.

Thomas and Annie recognized the voice, "BOCO?!" Thomas and Annie both screamed.

"Yep, that's Boco" Sir Topham Hatt added on.

"Hello Boco, I'm Neil" Neil said.

"Hello Neil, it's very nice to meet you and see you all again after decades of being on the Mainland" Boco commented.

"Boco was serving sometime on the mainland as supply demands grew, therefore, we let the mainland borrow her, though those documented papers were lost until a couple of months ago when I found them in the railway archives so we couldn't bring Boco back until I found them, and Boco had broken down so she had to get repaired" Sir Topham Hatt said, "This is the surprise for Edward, and Neil was not scrapped because he was a value to the island and the government at the time thought a museum would be good to put him, however, the Island was too occupied on other stuff at the time to spend money on building on a museum so taking him out the shed was put on the backburner."

Just as Sir Topham Hatt finished talking, Edward puffed in. "Hello Boco, long time no see" Edward said.

"Indeed old friend, how has Bill and Ben been?" Boco asked.

"Same as how you left" Edward responded.

"Sadly, I won't be working on your branchline, I'll be working on this one," Boco said.

"I'll be working here too" Neil said, "Also nice to meet you Edward, I'm Neil".

"Nice to meet you, Neil" Edward responded.

Rocky picked up Neil and Neil was put on Edward's flatbed and taken back to the Steamworks to get repaired with new parts in order to be repaired. Boco also sat in an old siding as it started to get dark, and people started going home and boarding Annie and Clarabel.

"Why not go sleep on your old branchline for old time sakes?" Edward asked.

"Might as well get used to my new environment, maybe tomorrow, Eddie" Boco responded.

That right there, is a Return of Legends.
