I've made a decision. I'm going to meet my sisters before I die.

I knew I wanted this no matter how bad it might hurt as I watched Mrs. Jeong cry. She held my arms and angrily said, "Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you say anything?! You're going to get treatment. I don't care what you say or do."

I was so numb. It felt as if my heart had been ripped out that I no longer had anything in my chest. Perhaps my mind was getting me ready to let go and leave this world. But it still hurt and my new medication could not help with the dullness in my chest anymore as I watched Mrs. Jeong hold me as if I were her daughter.

Mr. Jeong watched us with a sad expression. His mind seemed blank and I couldn't understand what he might be thinking. But he held my cheek with such tenderness that it made numb tears fall out of my eyes. His voice was quivering as he tried his best to say, "You do what you want to do as long as you're happy."

"How can you say that?! Do you think I'll lose another? At least she has time to take treatment. For our daughter, it was too late!"

"Yes, but it's Luna's life. She knows what's best for her. Right?" He ran a tender hand down my head and I sniffled back tears. I nodded and that was when I realized what I truly wanted. It's what I've always wanted ever since I can remember.

I've always wanted a family. I found parents who truly care for me with Mr. and Mrs. Jeong. Now I want to know what it's like to have siblings.

So I go into the police station one last time. Who would have thought that a place I once despised has become my safe place?

The chief smiles at my arrival and I smile back this time. "Luna! What brings you around here? Maybe you should get a job here. Why don't you make our coffees and that way you get a few hours of service?"

I do a small smile at his offer and say, "I might need your services one last time."

He furrows his brows at my words. "What do you mean? Will you go somewhere?"

I nod. "I need you to look for someone else."

"Oh yes. How did it go with your parents?" His eyes soften and I give him a reassuring smile.

"It was okay. I learned that I have three sisters. I want to meet them."

"Oh no. Not more Lunas."

"I apparently have a twin sister."

He playfully puts a hand on his heart and gasps. "You found the good twin. Hey. You're definitely the evil twin!"

"Hey," I say with a chuckle. "I want to find that out. Could you help me?"

"Okay. Let's look for her together. Do you know her name?"

I follow him inside the station and I give it a moment of admiration. I definitely can see it in a new light since I'm not a criminal this time. I stand behind him at his desk. Some other men give me a nod and I return it as they get to their desks in a common area.

"Her name is In-joo."

"Last name?"

"I don't know. What family name did you see on my father's file."

"Oh In-joo..."

So I would be Oh Luna...

I ignore the pit in my stomach at the thought of my parents and watch the Chief click and clack on the keyboard. He clicks on a few files until he seems to do a small gasp.

"What?" I say. "What did you find? Is she dead?"

"No. She used to live in Seoul. In fact, she even went to jail for about a month. It looks like your twin is as reckless as you are."
