Drowning

The feeling, of too much pain.
So much heartache you can't remember,
Remember a time of love, of hope, of family.
So much suffering, it feels like you're drowning.
So much, you wish for breath.
So much, you wish for life.
Or, so much, you wish for death.
So much, you wish for peace.
So much, you wish for a reprieve.

Death wants to welcome you home.
Death wants to make you feel loved.
As the wind caresses your face.
You wish for death.
Because you want love.
You want peace.
You don't want to feel alone anymore.
At least when you wish for death, you have a purpose.
To die, to live.

To die, you're at peace.
To die, you can be free.
To die, you don't have to feel alone.
To die, you leave everything behind.
You leave the people who love you the most.
Life sucks, it's hard, and it hurts.
But it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
One chance to be yourself.
One chance to live a life of meaning.
One chance to find love.
One chance to feel pain, accept it, and understand,
It is ok to be not ok.

To live is pain, but full of love.
Making your neighbor happy.
Making a stranger smile.
This is possible.
This is nice.
It is possible to be happy,
But maybe a change is in order.
Maybe, you can't be in a house of pain, so move.
Maybe, you can't be with that one person, so leave.
Maybe, you're stuck, with no way out, but it will be ok.
It will all be ok, because it can't not be.
There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Even if you can't see it, because you're drowning in your suffering.
The key, the answer, become a mermaid!
Or... ask for help.
