"Why exactly have you dragged me into this?" I ask the gothic girl in front of me
"As much as I hate to admit it, I need your help finding something" She sighs
"Like what?" I smile
"A purple book" She replies. I furrow my eyebrows with confusion but carry on walking after her.
"Why specifically a purple book?" I ask
"It just needs to be purple" She states in her signature monotone voice. We turn a corner and I bump into a very familiar Gorgon. I signal to Wednesday to keep walking whilst I distract Ajax
"Lydia, h-hi-hey" He states
"Hey, snake boy" I smile
"What're you doing?" He asks
"I was... heading to the... To.." I think for a second "I was coming to look for you"
"Oh" He smiles "You found me! How can I help?"
"Erm... that's a good question" I laugh nervously "I- I was just coming to tell you that I made up my mind about the Poe Cup" I nod
"You'll cheer us on?"
"Nope. But I'm sure you'll do great" I smile. He looks at my face and examines it
"It's healing okay" He smiles
"What?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows. He looks at my cheek and puts his hand up towards it. I wince and pull back
"Sorry" He whispers
"How did I get that?" I ask. Raising my hand to feel it
"The night of the harvest festival" He answers.
"Weird..." I whisper, seeing Wednesday walk back around the corner "Oh... Erm... I've got to run. I'll see you at 7" I quickly walk away, trying to brush off the confusing conversation I just had
"So?" I ask, catching up to Wednesday
"Nothing but a slight meaningless pep talk off Ms. Thornhill" She states. I sigh and we walk back to our dorm "I need another favour"
"What do you need?"
"For you to sneak into Xavier's dorm and find anything you can about Rowan"
"I can't do that" I laugh nervously
"Why not?"
"Xavier is my best friend, I can't just sneak into his room. Besides, I'm busy tonight"
"With what?"
"Nothing that you need to worry about"
"I really need you to do this, Lydia. I wouldn't ask you if it wasn't important"
"Alright, listen. I'll do it, but I'm telling Xavier everything if I get caught" I frown. She nods and walks away
