A/N: Hello my nonexistent readers! :) attached photo is her hair color... hope you enjoy as always x

*May's POV*

I got home and eventually grabbed the bottle of hair dye tentatively. I followed the instructions to a "t", making sure not to mess up. My initial plan was to just dye the tips, but I accidentally did too much so I guess I'm all in. After I finished dying the rest of my hair, I went to bed and fell asleep almost instantly.

I woke up at 7am to the sun streaming through the big window, practically blinding my eyes in the process. I smashed my head back into my pillow and went back to sleep. It should be illegal to be up at this hour.

When I finally woke up again it was 11am. I guess the long ride tired me out more than I thought. I sat up and glanced around my giant bedroom, taking in my surroundings since I had barely even looked around yesterday. The walls were covered in a tacky green colored, palm-tree covered wallpaper. All the furniture and the floors were made of wood, probably something fancy like cedar or maple or something. Scattered around the room were a bunch of tacky sea-themed knick-knacks like shells and mermaids. My bedside table had a lamp, also covered in seashells, and one of those tiny ornamental dishes that are too small to even hold anything.

I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and unplugged it from its charger. I checked Instagram to find a long list of pictures from a number of band members I followed. I don't really follow anyone I actually know on Instagram. That's probably because I don't interact much with other humans. I should actually probably introduce myself.

Hi. I'm May and I'm kind of a loner, I guess. I'm 18, barely made it through high school. Honestly I have no idea what I'm doing with my life, or even if I'm going to college. I just finished my worst year yet. I guess it can only get better from here, I hope. At my old high school I was the typical badass who wore a leather jacket, and I didn't really care what anyone thought of me. Everyone was afraid of me and no one would ever talk to me out of fear that I'd turn into a crazy green monster or something. Which is totally fine. I'm ok by myself, always have been, I'm used to it. My dad has been involved in politics since I was a baby, always busy running his campaigns. My mom isn't any better, she's the typical senator's wife who's always hosting some sort of elite party. So I've gotten used to being left alone with only my thoughts and my music to keep me company, since I stopped having a nanny at the start of middle school.

Another loud squawk from a seagull jarred me from my thoughts and I fell out of bed rather ungracefully. I stood up and that's when I saw it. A big red stain on my pillowcase! I grabbed the pillow but the damage was already done. Oh well, it's not like my dad didn't have money to replace it easily. Then I realized where it had come from and my hand flew to my now dried hair. I rushed to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. The color in my hair was faded from the original shade, I guess from rubbing off from the pillow, but I actually like the color better. It wasn't pastel, more like just a faded dark red color. I moved it around with my hands, trying different hairstyles quickly. I liked this new look. I tied it up in a messy bun with a black bandana tied at the top of my head.

I changed back into the same bathing suit and shorts and went downstairs to find some breakfast. I opened the fridge, finding it fully stocked, and I grabbed some eggs and bacon. It took me about 20 minutes to cook so by the time I sat down to eat my stomach was grumbling like crazy. I wolfed down the meal with a glass of OJ and grabbed a beach bag with a towel, sunscreen, and my phone with earbuds.

I had been tanning for awhile so I decided to go in the water. I waded around for a few minutes, staying close to the shore since I hadn't gone swimming in a couple years and I was a little rusty. After a couple minutes I got out, dried myself off and headed back to the house where I basically just listened to music on the porch until I gradually started falling asleep.
