Y/N(Peter) POV

I felt a gentle nudge and felt myself being slowly laid down on the grass. As my eyes slowly opened (again), I saw the same female knight who I had helped earlier standing next to me.

"Hey, you. You're finally awake. I knew you would wake up eventually. You were just trying to protect the princess, right? But you got ganged upon by goblins. We were retreating to the Kanterbury Ruins after getting ambushed, and by the way, I got a sword for you." The seemingly blonde female knight says to me as she holds out a sword, which would have been helpful if I got one earlier. She looks at me expectantly, waiting for me to take the sword.

"That's what happened, I guess..." I said standing up carefully, making sure not to crack my back as it still felt sore from the fight with the goblins earlier.

"Wait! The goblins! And the little girl!" I panicked suddenly, remembering the girl's well-being.

"Chill out, I've already dealt with the goblins, but for the princess, she's nowhere to be found. She must've gone deeper into the forest no thanks to those stupid goblins." said the female knight with a hint of frustration in her voice.

Then she looks me over from head to toe and says, "Anyway, what's a kid like you doing out in the forest all alone.... with an Iron Shield for protection?"

"Uhm... I was getting really lost and didn't know where I was. I'm a nomad and terrible with directions, so that's why I'm here." I told her a lie which I hoped would work because lying is never my strong suit.

She hmm'd contemplatively, as if she was slowly raising up suspicion on me.

Until she finally came to say, "You know what, how about this, since time is important, how about you help me find the princess?"

"Based on the way you hold that shield, you look like someone skilled enough to handle goblins and orcs." She adds

Her declaration made me take a good look at the shield and grip. It was a calculated risk, but if I accepted her offer I could gain more knowledge about this world. The problem is, I have to be careful with my actions and the things I say. Otherwise, she might get the wrong idea and reveal my secret.

So for now, I'll stick to being a nomad in my story, and maybe when I have gained enough trust I could tell them... IF she will be a companion or a friend in the future. In the meantime, I'll just keep on exploring the world and finding new people to connect with. Starting with this female knight.

With a heavy sigh coming out of my mouth, I let out my right hand for a handshake and said to her, "Alright... I accept your offer." I was surprised and a little bit nervous, but I knew it was the right decision at the moment.
