Nova sat on Tyler's bed, inches away. Confused, but scared. She knew what a Hyde was, but she thought they didn't exist anymore, as there hasn't been a recorded record of them for decades.
"Stop looking at me like that."
Tyler could tell the girl was a mixture of confused and terrified. He understood the confused part, but Tyler would never purposely hurt someone. He continued to explain how it was all Thornhills fault and everything behind her dirty secret.
He needed someone to understand, that someone just so happened to be her. She tried her hardest to understand the shaking boy in front of her. The information was overwhelming. Tyler had informed Nova of Thornhills plan and everything that she had the boy doing. How he didnt want to do it, how Thornhill wasn't actually Thornhill. She was Laurel Gates in disguise.
Tyler was now hugging the girl, crying into her shoulder. He felt weak, he had wanted to tell his father or someone but he couldn't bring himself to. Nova froze, not knowing what to do. She was never one to show much emotion, or comfort others when they did.
Nova did the one thing she knew to do. She embraced the boy. Enid was a great hugger, although Nova would never admit it. Her hugs were the best when, on rare occasions, the girl burst and let all her emotions show.
Tyler wrapped his arms around Novas waist as he let his face nuzzle into her neck. They sat there for what felt like ever. They only pulled away when a car pulled into the driveway. Tyler looked up at the girl, sending her a soft smile.

Nova woke up to a slight knock on her bedroom door.
"Nova? You in there? It's almost two." Xavier continued to knock. After last night, Nova went home and went to bed. She was exhausted. She crawled out of bed, her blanket still wrapped around her figure. Nova opened the door allowing her boyfriend to enter.
"Sorry, I overslept." Nova explained, heading into her connected bathroom to freshen up. "I stopped by last night, you weren't here. Went to Enid's, she had no idea where you were either." Nova had stopped brushing her hair, walking out of her restroom and into the open bedroom to face her boyfriend. "Where were you Nova?" Xavier sounded worried. He also sounded upset that his girlfriend didn't even think to mention her whereabouts.
"I was out." Nova explained, she walked back into the bathroom, feeling she didn't owe an explanation as Xavier had done the same several times before her. "Out where Nova? Did or did not weems just sit us down the other day and say she didn't want us out past 10?" Xavier sounded frustrated.
He knew she wasn't on campus, there was no way. Nova had never branched out and made many friends, she kept her circle tight. And Xavier knew if Enid didn't know where Nova was headed, she was certainly hiding something.
"I just find it strange that not even Enid knew where you were." Nova knew she couldn't lie for much longer. "Xavier, I was out. I needed to clear my mind, I shouldn't have to explain everything to you 24/7."
"I know, it's just scary. Knowing all the things you've pulled in the past." She looked at herself in the mirror. Nova had had enough. "The shit i've pulled? Xavier, you cheated on me three times, the shit i've pulled doesn't even compare to what you've pulled. You're lucky i'm still with you at this point."
"Oh im lucky? Im lucky?" Xavier was now yelling. "Get out. Forget our plans." Nova kept calm. She wanted to tell him why she was out last night, but she couldn't. She could never betray Tyler's trust like that.
Xavier scoffed, walking out the door and leaving Nova to drown in her feelings. She had nothing to do now. So why not plan to meet a certain boy. She had finished getting ready, heading down towards the courtyard to tell Enid of her plans.
