I slowly stood up taking short steps up to the casket I took a deep breath and exhaled tears slowly falling down my face that I didn't even realize had pricked the corner of my eyes.
I leaned over just enough to see his face and tears started streaming down my face and I choked back a sob I slowly and softly put my hand to his face a face I had seen every day for the past 8 years now, this is the last time I'll see it I leaned down even more to softly place my lips to his mouth it was cold I pulled away rubbing his cheek one last time before moving to his ear and saying "you broke the promise".
